This looks to be precisely what I am looking for! My current experimental approach is to identify loci that are important (more or less EWAS). I have been looking for a multinomial logistic mixed model package but like the elastic net approach to identification of "important" loci. Is there documentation for using this package and can it handle multinomial outcomes with nested random effects?
