Summary

Standard exit gate sign-off for v0.4.0 M5 (Field Test milestone). Ensure code review is passed, lint is strict-clean, code coverage meets threshold, all documents are updated, and all field-test issues (#1-#11) are resolved. This is the checklist that gates progression to M6 (Release Readiness).

Scope

Exit gate covers verification of:

• All v0.4.0 M1-M4 features code-reviewed and merged
• Lint strict-clean across entire codebase (ruff, mypy strict, bandit security)
• Code coverage ≥95% across all modules (including new M1-M4 code)
• Documentation updated: field test plan, runner scripts, corpus, Docker plan, cost table, FIELD_TEST_REPORT, known issues
• All M5 field test issues (#1-[v0.1.0] M2: Core Data Models — 2.5 Define PromotionDecision dataclass #11) resolved with artifacts
• CI green on all supported platforms (macOS, Linux)
• Docker compose verified end-to-end

Dependencies

• CI pipeline operational

Steps

1. Code review gate:
   • Verify all M1-M4 PRs have been reviewed and approved
   • Verify no outstanding review comments on v0.4.0 code
   • Verify all integration tests pass
2. Lint gate:
   • Run ruff check src/ tests/ scripts/ — must pass with 0 errors
   • Run mypy src/ --strict — must pass with 0 errors
   • Run bandit -r src/ -c pyproject.toml — must pass with 0 high-severity findings
3. Coverage gate:
   • Run pytest with coverage: pytest --cov=src --cov-report=term-missing
   • Verify overall coverage ≥95%
   • Verify no uncovered new modules (semantic_matcher, fleet/, dashboard/, integrations/)
4. Documentation gate:
   • field-test/v0.4.0/field-test-plan.md — created and reviewed
   • scripts/run-field-test.py — updated for v0.4.0
   • Corpus updated with v0.4.0 trajectories
   • docs/field-test/v0.4.0/docker-test-plan.md — created
   • Docker tests created and passing
   • docs/field-test/v0.4.0/cost-table.md — published
   • docs/field-test/v0.4.0/FIELD_TEST_REPORT.md — compiled

5. Issue resolution gate:

6. CI gate:
   • GitHub Actions green on main branch
   • All platform checks pass (macOS, Linux)
7. Docker gate:
   • docker compose up with all services succeeds
   • All healthchecks pass
   • Dashboard accessible from browser

Acceptance Criteria

• Code review: all M1-M4 PRs approved, no outstanding comments
• Lint: ruff check 0 errors, mypy --strict 0 errors, bandit 0 high-severity
