It might be relevant that the FirstGen mocks were backup using the script available here: And the wiki page describe how to retrieve these: In principle if this is intended to back up second gen and other mocks then same can be used. |

@shadaba, thank you, but this is a fundamentally different set of mocks produced by a different working group, based on my understanding. |

This PR adds a script to generate HTAR backups for DR1 mocks, which is potentially generalizable to other data releases.
@sbailey, you're welcome to review, but this is a non-controversial PR, which I'll self-merge soon.
