Mods Loading Priority #8560

Ok you're making me feel bad here, but in our defense we still haven't made a full release with mod support yet so it feels like it could also be a bit misleading to have it on the wiki etc.
I guess I should add here as well that they were admonished for their poor behavior. It was not anyone from the developer group either. I can understand you feeling offended by the person's behavior but you're not setting a good tone here by making public posts about it instead of informing an admin. I did reply to you on Discord, but I don't think you asked these questions. It's pretty simple though, file in archives loaded later overwrites files that were loaded in ealier ones, if their content overlap. Mods are loaded in the order they appear in your .ini file. |
BTW, this was completely uncalled for. |
Uh oh!
There was an error while loading. Please reload this page.
There's one single discussion thread about modding and a barebones wiki page. When asking on Discord, I was met with such rancid hostility that I'm not surprised at the tepid pacing of updates to this project. So I figured I'd just post it here instead.
How does one affect the loading priority of mods?
For example if two mods modify the same file but I want the game to load one mod's files as a 'priority' over the other's files, how would I accomplish this?
I'm familiar with how it works in World of Warcraft, but not entirely familiar with the early v1.0 MPQ system used for Diablo 1 (and Hellfire).
