📚 I'm an educator turned software engineer with a passion for problem solving and learning! I love that there are always new technologies to learn and challenge myself with as a software developer.

💻 At App Academy, I created three full-stack web apps using JavaScript, Python, Flask, Express.js, React.js, Redux, HTML and CSS3, and SQLAlchemy. One of these apps was a group project in which we cloned the app Habitica.

👩🏼‍💻 My most recent project was an app inspired by GoodReads that focuses on children's literature, where users can share and review books. I love the idea of being able to contribute to the education community and help to facilitate learning in a totally new way!

⭐️ I'm looking forward to adding further functionality to the apps I've worked on as well as adding to my skill set as I work on the job search.

🏃🏼‍♀️ Away from the keyboard I've completed two marathons (currently training for Pittsburgh!) and love to run, read, cook, cheer for/yell at the Philadelphia Eagles (go birds), and hang with my husband Zack and Boxer rescue dog Porky.
