Metrics View does not show curs correctly (perhaps only for RTL scripts?) #3837
Description
Microsoft distributes an interesting font which they call «Al Dhabi».
It's similar to Noto Nastaliq Urdu in how it works. The curs table is most important.
Let's use as an example the text النوع المفتوح.
Below image shows Noto Sans Arabic, Noto Nastaliq Urdu and Aldhabi rendered correctly.
FontForge however cannot understand Aldhabi at all!
The curs table does appear in GPOS though, and to my (perhaps ignorant) eyes even looks complete.
At the risk of angering Microsoft, (they distribute this font for free with their operating system,) I upload it also here to be sure if anyone looks into this that they are considering the same version of Aldhabi that I've considered.

Does FontForge render any Arabic fonts with cursive anchors correctly? Noto Nastaliq Urdu and Aref Ruqaa use them, if you need free fonts to test (can type Arabic on my FontForge for some reason so can’t test).

I don't know why I thought Noto Urdu worked, it doesn't. Does Metrics View simply not support cursive attachment?

Probably, or it gets RTL positioning wrong which it almost always does. That beast should be ported to HarfBuzz, but I’m not volunteering that.
