What happened?
In config.nml, glon in the setup section must be between 0 - 360 degrees. Inputing a negative value (as when using the convention that longitude ranges -180 - 180 degrees) results in any electric fields specified in the config file not being applied to the simulation. The simulation will run without error, but with zero electric field.
