This is a Javascript implementation of the popular date formatting utility strftime.
There are three different ways to use this:
-
Using the Date.format function:
Date.format(new Date("10 Jan 2011"), "%B %d, %Y"); // "January 10, 2011"
-
Using the Date.prototype.format function on a date:
new Date("16 Apr 2011").format("%B %d, %Y"); // "April 16, 2011"
-
Using the C-style strftime function:
strftime("%B %d, %Y", new Date("7 Dec 1999")); // "December 7, 1999"
If you use this version, the second parameter is optional and defaults to the current date.
