Retain Gemini CLI and raise it from its current installed integration to the same evidence-backed certified-adapter standard as Claude, Codex, and Pi.
Current state
The adapter installs BeforeTool blocking approvals and lifecycle events, with provider-specific deny and edited-input mapping. It is not currently in the certified contract.
Certification requirements
- Verify the current official Gemini CLI hook API and supported-version behavior.
- Add a versioned contract/capability report for managed install/uninstall, integrity/drift, decision mapping, lifecycle/recovery, audit/redaction, and provider timeout semantics.
- Test approve, deny, expiry, edit, daemon-unavailable, timeout units/behavior, restart, and session end with provider-shaped fixtures; add a secret-gated live evidence path.
- Expose only verified capabilities through
onibi adapters --json, hooks --show, and doctor.

Gemini becomes certified only after every contract claim has local tests, a documented live result, and review.
