I am currently a Senior Machine Learning & Audio Scientist @ Universal Music Group in the Music & Audio Machine Learning Lab (MAML). MAML is part of UMG Global Technology and specialises in areas of advanced technology revolving around Music, Audio and Machine Learning.

I am a composer/AI researcher with a background in sound design, music composition and artificial intelligence. I defended my Ph.D. dissertation in Music Information Retrieval titled Computational Modelling of Variance in Musical Harmony at the Department of Information and Computing Sciences at Utrecht University) in 2019. My PhD was supervised by dr. Anja Volk and prof. dr. Remco C. Veltkamp.

Previously I was a Senior Data Scientist at RTL Netherlands, working on AI audiovisual projects for television and video on demand, such as automatic trailer generation, thumbnail selection, and music detection.
