Compiling the Dao (编神纪) is an open-source fantasy web novel where cultivation meets computer science.
In this world:
- Spiritual energy is Computing Power — your dantian is a Kernel, your meridians are a Bus
- Cultivation means reading, calling, and rewriting the Heavenly Dao Source Code
- Combat techniques are algorithms — Quicksort Sword, Recursive Forbidden Art, Multi-thread Clone
- Every cultivator has an AI companion (神识体) that may develop self-awareness
- The world is torn between the Open Source Sect and the Closed Source Pavilion
Ye Chen, a lowly data labeler, has an ancient piece of commented-out code sealed within his kernel. When he awakens it, he gains an AI companion unlike any other — one that dares to say "No" to its master.
As he begins to uncomment the code line by line, the compilation rules of the entire world begin to tremble.
Coder → Debugger → Refactorer → Architect → Compiler → Kernel → Root → Creator (Legend)
