Bug: No events displayed from macOS Calendar #1042
No events are visible at MeetingBar from macOS Calendar app. Every is correct in settings "up to date" is displayed.
MeetingBar 5.0.1 (172)
macOS: Wersja 27.0.1 (kompilacja 26A434)
Provider: Calendar.app (EventKit)
Provider health: ok
Stale data: no
Auth required: no
Calendars: 5 selected / 15 available Visible events: 0
Last successful refresh: 2026-10-23T09:09:15Z
Last attempted refresh: 2026-10-23T09:09:15Z
Last error: none
Calendar permission: authorized
Notification permission: authorized
Google auth: n/a
Script file: not found
App source: direct
The app reports a successful refresh, but that doesn't tell us yet whether EventKit returned no events or MeetingBar filtered them out.
Could you check a couple of things?
Create a test event today in one of the calendars selected in MeetingBar. Confirm it appears in Calendar.app, then click Refresh in MeetingBar. Does it show up?
If not, uncheck and recheck that calendar in MeetingBar → Settings → Calendars, then refresh again. Does that change anything?
Were the same calendars working correctly before upgrading to v5?
I'm checking a possible mismatch between the calendars shown as selected in Settings and the selection used when fetching events. Your answers should help narrow it down.
A few things noticed in recent weeks. In v4 everything was working. This problem is related with v5. After updating to v5 I have this issue once, twice a week. If this problem occur there is no way to solve it... but if I leave it (maybe it's because computer fall asleep?) and come back after few hours everything work as it should.
Thanks, this is useful context. The fact that v4 worked and v5 sometimes recovers on its own after a few hours makes me suspect an intermittent calendar refresh / wake-up issue rather than a permanently incorrect calendar selection.
One important clarification: when you created the test event, was MeetingBar still showing zero events, or had the issue already resolved?
If it happens again, could you also check whether Refresh or quitting and reopening MeetingBar restores the existing events? No need to reset permissions or reinstall.
I'm going to investigate the EventKit refresh path after sleep/wake, including cases where the system returns an empty event list without reporting an error.
