Description

macOS version

26.3.1

MeetingBar version

4.11

Installation source

AppStore

Calendars provider

macOS Calendar app

Bug description

No calendar events are showing, when you go to settings it looks as if it hasn't got permissions to the calendar, opening macOS settings under calendar MeetingBar is not there and there's no way to add it.

I've tried tccutil reset All leits.MeetingBar and relaunching the app but it doesn't request permissions to read the calendar.

Reproduction steps

  1. Install meetingbar on macOS 26.3.1
  2. Try to setup Apple calendar

Expected behavior

Meetingbar should request access to the apple calendar

I've cloned the project locally, updated it to use a more recent XCode build and a minimum of macOS 15.6 which fixes the issue, not sure if you want to accept this as a fix + modernisation PR but I've raised it here: #899

    @mkennard20

I now have the same issue but with macOS 27 RC. Followed the same steps as above and am running MB 5.0.0 RC2

5.0.0 RC3 includes the EventKit permission diagnostics and recovery changes (#989 and the later provider lifecycle safeguards). Could you check whether MeetingBar now requests/shows the necessary macOS Calendar permissions and loads events correctly? Please include the macOS version if the permissions issue persists.
