Feature Request: Press and Hold to Temporarily Play at 2x Speed #8772

Description

It would be great to have a press-and-hold gesture on the video player that temporarily increases playback speed to 2x, similar to the gesture available on YouTube.

This would make it much easier to quickly get through slow or uninteresting parts of a video without interrupting playback to open the speed settings.

Proposed Behavior

• Press and hold anywhere on the video player.
• Playback should immediately switch to 2x speed.
• Display a small 2x indicator at the top-center of the video while the gesture is active.
• When the user releases the screen, playback should automatically return to the previous playback speed.
• If the video is already playing at 2x, holding the screen should not change the playback speed.
• The gesture should work anywhere on the video area, rather than requiring the user to press a specific button.

Why This Would Be Useful

There are often parts of videos that are unnecessarily slow, such as pauses, repetitive sections, or long explanations. Opening the playback-speed menu every time is tedious and interrupts the viewing experience.

A press-and-hold gesture would provide a quick and intuitive way to temporarily speed through these sections and then seamlessly return to the user's preferred speed.

This is a small quality-of-life feature, but it could make everyday video watching much smoother.
