π About Me: I recently earned my PhD in Information Systems from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC) in April 2026. My research sits at the intersection of human-centered AI, healthcare informatics, and machine learning β with a focus on probabilistic topic modeling, neural recommendation systems, and fairness-aware AI.
π Current Work: My dissertation focused on leveraging generative AI to support online health communities through intelligent support group formation. This spanned developing probabilistic topic models (gDMR, gSTM), building neural collaborative filtering frameworks under extreme data sparsity (PL-NCF), and conducting human-centered user studies to ensure these systems are both effective and equitable.
