Expressive design

Remember all those cool concepts from Google? They are still concepts. Real apps can't look this good and be usable at the same time. Tools (especially Calculator) were already expressive enough and received only small changes. Much bigger updates were in Settings. Screenshots are in README

AMOLED update

Also known as "pitch black"

  • App is now less aggressive with darkening colors
  • AMOLED preference is now applied to widgets too

Improved accessibility

  • It is now much easier to update only date or only time in Date calculator
  • Partial calculator history view will not be accidentally skipped if you drag too much. Old behavior is still available: Settings -> Calculator -> Stepped drag gesture

Additional

  • Option to keep screen on while the app is open
  • App now requires Android 6 or higher (forced by Google)
  • Entering multiplatform era. Future updates will let you run Unitto anywhere that has a screen. Follow preview builds for status updates
  • Deciliter and centiliter units. 601 units in one app

Choose a tag to compare

Pre-release
  • update widgets ui and sizes
    • result preview in calculator will be removed if there is not enough space for it (i can't make the keyboard smaller for accessibility reasons)
    • amoled support
  • add deciliter and centiliter. 601 units btw (393 if you exclude currencies)
  • a tiny but very important change in text fields. this should not break clicking and selecting text in calculator and unit converter (big primary text fields)
  • improve keyboard support
  • last planned preview before full release. now i need to update screenshots, landing page, store descriptions and prepare release notes (figma πŸ˜’)

  • update backup screen buttons
  • update calculator history placeholder color
  • update drawer colors to improve readibility
  • fix edge to edge for screens with vertical lists
