Welcome to posteritas! This application helps you generate beautiful A3 landscape poster mosaic JPEGs from a folder of your favorite photos. It automatically adjusts image orientations, pairs portraits, and arranges tiles with or without gaps. Create print-ready posters quickly and easily.

To run posteritas, you need:

• A computer with Windows, macOS, or Linux.
• At least 4 GB of RAM.
• A modern web browser.
• An active internet connection for downloading photos.

1. Visit this page to download.
2. Choose the latest version from the list.
3. Click the download link for your operating system.
4. Once the download is complete, locate the file in your downloads folder.

• Double-click the downloaded .exe file to start the installation.
• Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation.

• Open the downloaded .dmg file.
• Drag the posteritas icon to your Applications folder.

• Unzip the downloaded file.
• Open a terminal window and navigate to the folder where you extracted the files.
• Run ./posteritas to start the application.

1. Launch the Application: Open posteritas from your applications menu.

2. Select Photo Folder: Click on "Choose Photos" to select the folder containing your images.

3. Adjust Settings:

   • Choose your preferred layout (with gaps or fully filled).
   • Decide if you want to pair portraits.

4. Start Creating: Click "Create Poster" to generate your mosaic. The application will process your images and create a poster for you.

5. Save Your Poster: Once completed, you will have the option to save your poster as a JPEG file.
