Thanks for the heads-up, the polite pool is still working for me, but if it's going to be shut down soon, we should keep an eye on it.

According to OpenAlex docs, the politepool is deprecated: https://developers.openalex.org/guides/deprecations#historical-polite-pool
But at the time of writing the SearxNG live documentation still mentions and recommends setting it up: https://docs.searxng.org/dev/engines/online/openalex.html
This is very likely something that deserves a bug report, but I didn't bother checking whether I could just add the api key to the searxng settings.yml. My quite fresh install of searxng still has the template for politepool configuration so I assume the latest version is still using the polite pool.
Fixing this on the SearxNG side might also involve adding support for the api keys for OpenAlex, but since I didn't check that far, I didn't feel comfortable to do half-ass bug report.
