Aera aims to streamline the process of creating beautifully designed and functional email templates using AI. By leveraging the power of AI, users can generate email content based on simple prompts and customize the layout through an intuitive drag-and-drop interface and handy sidebar.

Creating email templates can be a tedious and time-consuming task, especially for those without extensive design or coding experience. This project was inspired by the need to simplify and automate the email creation process, allowing users to focus more on the content and less on the formatting and design.

The idea for this tool came from a blog post titled "Creating e-mail templates is painful, isn't it?" while participating in the AI-Hackathon by Peerlist x Roadmap.sh. The post highlighted the challenges and frustrations many people face when designing emails. This sparked the idea to create a tool that uses AI to alleviate these pains, making email template creation quick, easy, and accessible to everyone.

• Drag-and-Drop Interface: Customize the layout with a user-friendly drag-and-drop interface.

Aera was never meant to be perfect. It was a concept—a sketch, a draft, a "what if?"

Back then, I was still figuring things out. I didn’t know how to work with AI APIs properly, and I didn’t have the funds to purchase credits either. So, all I could really build was the frontend. Even the drag-and-drop interface—honestly, I’m not sure if it was fully working or just mocked up. But the intention was there: use AI to simplify email creation, let users customize layouts visually, and remove the technical burden from the process.

• Fast forward 8 months, and that rough idea has matured into something sharper and more practical: Powder.
• Powder doesn’t have the drag-and-drop interface (yet), but it nails the core functionality:
• Clean, production-ready React Email templates generated from simple prompts.
• Built with React Email, TailwindCSS, and powered by real AI integration.
• Exportable, responsive, and ready to send.

Where Aera was a rough sketch, Powder is the clean, finished version.

It’s the flower that bloomed from a seed I planted long ago—and this time, it’s fully alive.
