A practical gap we keep seeing in slide workflows is this: once slides are exported as images, screenshots, or image-heavy PDFs, users lose real editability in PowerPoint.
We are building slide-alchemy, an open-source workflow that rebuilds picture-style slides into editable PPTX with:
- real text boxes
- editable simple geometry when practical
- PNG assets for complex icons/decorations
- a clean regenerated base instead of a full-slide screenshot
This feels relevant for projects like this one because users often want a path from exported/visual slides back into a truly editable deck.

- Slidev export/images/screenshots -> Slide Alchemy -> editable PPTX
- PDF/page images generated from Slidev -> editable PPTX recovery
