Athena
When you open Athena, its version will be checked, and compared with the last remote version (if any Internet connection is available), allowing to automatically update the local one if a newer version has been released.
After this version check, the first showed screen is the following:
Here, you can switch between the various modalities, which allow to choose to follow the pipeline or to examine the signals in the time domain and in the frequency domain:
- Through the guided mode, it is possible to follow the standard pipeline step-by-step, having the possibility to repeat the steps and to change every parameter whenever you want (it is expecially suggested for a first-time approach)
- Through the batch mode, it is possible to automatize the pipeline by using a text file which contains all the parameters used in the study
- Through the display mode, you can watch your signals, filter them and eventually extracting a segment of it for every subject
- The spectrum mode allows you to investigate on the power spectrum, for each subject and related to every location, and to verify eventual significant variations during the time
- In the TF mode you can perform the time-frequency analysis on your signals
You can also go to the Utility section, in which you can take advantage of some useful features, such as decompressing files, segmenting signals and extracting data.
If you forget the meaning of a step or do not know how to choose between the various possibilities, you can pass the cursor of your mouse on the buttons related to them and you will be shown a tooltip related to it.
Furthermore, if you need help in any step, you can push on the logo figure, which will open the documentation of the toolbox through a web browser
