How are you testing tinkerbell workflows against virtual environments (e.g., KubeVirt)? #724

Hi everyone,

I’m interested in learning how people in the Tinkerbell community test provisioning workflows in environments where physical hardware isn’t available.

A few specific questions:

• Are you using any form of virtual BMC/IPMI/Redfish simulation?
• Do you test against virtual machines (e.g., KubeVirt or other VM platforms)?
• What tools or setups have you found most effective for development and CI?

For context, I’m maintaining KubeVirtBMC, which provides a virtual BMC for KubeVirt VMs. My goal here is to understand existing practices and approaches used by the community.

If anyone happens to be using KubeVirtBMC, feel free to share your experience or open a PR to our adopters list so we can keep it accurate.
