So turns out that the build API we are using doesn't actually respect the templateParameter. This appears to be known (see https://developercommunity.visualstudio.com/t/azure-deops-pipelines-not-using-the-parameters-sen/1102736). We could consider switching to the run API (see https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/rest/api/azure/devops/pipelines/runs/run-pipeline?view=azure-devops-rest-7.1) but that might have bigger consequences. |
