This should be done tmr:

• configure OIDC at npm registry
• add vitest tests for core: test: add initial core package tests #14
• add vitest and PW tests for vite: we need similar PW tests we've at vite-plugin-pwa here (check ecosystem-ci PW bellow, this is not required for initial release): test: add Vite Ecosystem CI test #20

• add defineConfig and defineLegacyConfig (required)
• final readme files review (required): add mode to breaking changes (removed) and add a note about the workbox-window (vite-plugin-pwa externalize that package, the new workbox-window fork is ESM => check Vitest build test for Vite Ecosystem CI, we now have only 1 assets instead 2 at assets folder)
• add issue template (not required)
• re-check inlineWorkboxRuntime, workboxRuntimeCompatible and baseURL (baseURL at workbox-build build/generate environment options): check changes at fix(workbox-build): update internal build logic workbox#56 (required): chore(core,vite): initialize workbox runtime options and base url defaults #19
• add nostics: check add nostics #16 (required?)
• add vite ecosystem-ci PW test (this is required, I'll send a PR to add @unplugin-pwa/vite, vite-plugin-pwa will be there until deprecated): test: add Vite Ecosystem CI test #20
• add breaking changes: docs: add breaking changes #6
• disable codesplitting, default behavior should be the same we have at vite-plugin-pwa (classic with inlined workbox modules): fix(core): default swType to classic and inlineWorkboxRuntime to true #7
