I'm Sarah Lean, and I've spent nearly two decades in IT — across service provider, manufacturing, Scotch Whisky and local authority industries. I've served my time resetting passwords and triaging support calls, maintaining platforms, building infrastructure, migrating end-of-life systems and migrating data centers. Along the way I've been a subject matter expert in solutions including Microsoft Exchange, System Center Configuration Manager and Patch Management.
These days I focus on helping people design, build and operate cloud and AI infrastructure on Azure — and on making that knowledge approachable for everyone.
I'm a STEM Ambassador and hopeful that by sharing my story with the next generation I can help inspire them into a STEM career. I'm also the founder of the Glasgow Azure User Group, a community that meets every two months to learn and network with peers.
