Mojo 490 Mother's Day Time for Tea

The first time I had hot tea was with my mom when I was nine. We had a mother-daughter missionary banquet at church. All of the girls had hot tea with milk and sugar. After that, mom gave me hot tea that way on a few snow days when I'd played outside for a long time. I doubt if she knew then how hot tea with milk would become a lifelong, morning passion for me. Even my grandchildren know this about me. I suppose that's one of the reasons I love this month's "Tea-rrific" stamp of the month at CTMH.

This week's Mojo Monday sketch was great for a Mother's Day card for the Heart 2 Heart challenge, Time for Tea. I silver embossed the tea cup and set it on a doily to anchor the image.

Thank you for visiting! May God bless and keep you and yours!

Hello Lovely Easter Card 1

I need to make quite a few Easter cards, so I used the card bases I made with our recent CTMH Hello Lovely Workshop Your Way. This one uses pattern 4 with a few additions: a doily, a circle (from retired Caboodle paper, cut with MFT double stitched circle die), a sentiment panel (retired Nevermore paper). The Blush Shimmer Ribbon were the perfect addition. The cross, stamped with Whisper ink,  and sentiment are retired but are perfect for my card's message that Easter is a celebration of Christ's resurrection from the dead.

I kept this simple so my friends at our scrapbook workshop could quickly make one if they wanted.  You can even download the cutting guide for all the layouts and cards here.

Thank you for visiting! May God bless your crafting and the recipients of your crafts!

I'm sharing this card with the following challenges:
4 Crafty Chicks #343 - punches or dies
Addicted to Stamps #144 -  Easter
Aud Sentiments #176 - any sentiment but birthday
Crafty Sentiments Designs - Easter
Really Reasonable Ribbon #160 - Springtime/Easter with ribbon
Southern Girls #156 -  use a die
Word Art Wednesday #274-275 - anything family friendly

Hello Lovely Birthday Greetings

I'm making up for not blogging last week thanks to stomach flu. . . then a migraine. . .then working on my daughter's birthday scrapbook that I gave her Saturday. I think I was going through withdrawal and really needed to make cards, my favorite thing to do!

The Heart 2 Heart Challenge also had a challenge to make something using the Hello Lovely paper pack. I made a birthday card using one of the PML cards cut into a circle to fit inside a frame cut with Cricut Artbooking cartridge. I traced the inner circle cut by my Cricut but went around any leaf that was bigger than the circle.  I also wanted the flowered paper to be just a thin border behind a more solid paper, so here is the result.

The birthday greeting came from the retired stamp set, Just a Number. The Blush Shimmer Ribbon was the perfect accompaniment for this paper!

Thank you for visiting! May God bless your crafting!

I'm sharing this card with the following challenges:

Seasonal Expressions 1 Blog Hop

Welcome to our blog hop featuring new products in the Seasonal Expressions 1 Idea Book. You may have just come from Tamytha Jenkins' blog.   To see the entire list of participants you can visit Melissa Everitt's blog.

New products are so exciting to try out! I like to see how many different ways I can use something.

I chose to highlight some of the Thin Cuts die and stamp sets. I was attracted to the Hello Lovely - Cardmaking Thin Cuts and coordinating stamp set because of the flowers. They were harder to color the way I wanted so my first attempt is not my favorite. I stamped the image with Flaxen ink and colored the open images with a combination of ShinHan Touch Twin alcohol markers (diluted with the colorless blender), watercolor pencils, and the waterbrush. I had to trace over the lines of the two pink roses with the cranberry watercolor pencil to still see the shape. The image is mounted on one of the pocket cards from the Hello Lovely paper pack that has been trimmed 1/2" off of the top and bottom. (The base panel is from the Whimsy Fundamental pack.)

I decided to try embossing the flowers. This was my favorite. Here's white on Kraft cardstock:

The papers are from the Adventure Fundamentals pack (cranberry with hearts) and Rustic Home chevron wood pattern. The word "love" is from the new Hello Lovely Scrapbooking stamp set.

I used two different Thin Cuts sets to make an anniversary card using gold embossing powder on Sorbet cardstock. The card was made with one of the Hello Lovely papers and the new Basic Heart Thin Cut was used on the base panel. The sentiment stamped with Desert Sand ink is from the Cricut Flower Market stamp set "Just to Say." The Uptown Ribbon pack had the perfect ribbon for this card.

I used this week's sketch from Tuesday Morning Sketches #384 for this card.

Some Kinda Wonderful Birthday Card

Despite all the snow and low temperatures today it was so exciting for the mail lady to deliver my box with more new CTMH products. With so many birthdays among friends and family this month, I was inspired to  make another birthday card today. When I saw the challenge at Colour Throwdown - black, green, and hot pink and the sketch at Die Cuttin' Divas, it all came together with my new paper from CTMH , "Some Kinda Wonderful."

My hope is that a dear CTMH friend will enjoy the card and know how much I care. We share our faith and our love of teaching and creating! We've also taken a lot of fun adventurous CTMH trips over the years. The bright colors are perfect for her bright personality.

I used a new CTMH Heart Basics Thin Cut to die cut the heart that I stamped and embossed with tiny hearts. The Happy Birthday sentiment is also a new die set.

The floral images are from the new stamp set, "Hello Lovely - Scrapbooking." If you'd like to see more of the new dies, papers, and stamps come back on Saturday morning for our New Product Blog Hop where about 27 creative ladies will be featuring new products from the new Seasonal Expressions 1 Idea Book in their creative artwork.

Thank you for visiting! May God bless your new beginnings in this new year!
