1ST TRAILER AND IMAGES FROM 1242: GATEWAY TO THE WEST HISTORICAL EPIC ADVENTURE WITH RAY STEVENSON, ERIC ROBERTS, MICHAEL IRONSIDE, JEREMY NEUMARK JONES

 1242 GATEWAY TO THE WEST
SEE FIRST EPIC MOVIE TRAILER
The gateway will open next May
You probably remember that back in 2022, your trusted spy informed you that Kevin Spacey was cast in this one but was later replaced by Ray Stevenson due to sexual assault charges that  were brought against him. A year after that Spacey was proclaimed innocent and in May 2023, Stevenson died during post-production which makes this his final film appearance. After all those problems epic historical movie adventure 1242: GATEWAY TO THE WEST, a co production between Hungary and Mongolia, is ready to hit cinemas in May next year and today I have the first posters, character photos and a trailer for you. The movie, which depicts Mongolian invasion into Europe stopped by a castle in Hungary, features an ensemble international cast that includes young Jeremy Neumark Jones, Neil Stuke, Bold Choimbol, Genevieve Chenneour, next  to the well knownaction movie stars from a few decades ago Michael Ironside, Eric Roberts, David Schofield, and Ray Stevenson!

WHAT IS THE STORY ABOUT?
When the Kingdom of Hungary's army was annihilated by the Mongols at the battle of Mohi, only the castle of Esztergom now stood in the Mongolians' way of invading the rest of Europe. Khan Batu (Bold Choimbol), the grandson of Genghis Khan, reaches the walls of Esztergom with his invincible troops. The castle's defenders, led by Eusebius (Jeremy Neumark Jones), the Canon of Esztergom, and a Spanish mercenary, Captain Simon (Neil Stuke), are preparing for the final battle. The sudden arrival of Cardinal Cesareani (Ray Stevenson), the Papal Legate, coinciding with the Mongol Lunar New Year celebrations and the mystical practices of Eusebius, combine to offer the defenders a small glimmer of hope.

EVERYTHING DECAYS IN THE HAUNTED TRAILER FOR EMILY MORTIMER'S HORROR THRILLER MOVIE RELIC! SPANISH PRINCESS SEASON 2 TRAILER IS HERE

     'RELIC' TRAILER
PUTS POOR EMILY MORTIMER IN A SCARY HAUNTED HOUSE
We are not used to seeing Emily Mortimer in horror movies, but I'm guessing there is first time for everything: RELIC, which also stars Robyn
Relic already aired in some countries this summer
Nevin and Bella Heathcote, will open October 30th, directed by Natalie Erika James who also wrote the script.

When elderly mother Edna inexplicably vanishes, her daughter Kay and granddaughter Sam rush to their family's decaying country home, finding clues of her increasing dementia scattered around the house in her absence. After Edna returns just as mysteriously as she disappeared, Kay's concern that her mother seems unwilling or unable to say where she's been clashes with Sam's unabashed enthusiasm to have her grandma back. As
Natalie Erika James both wrote and directed the spooky horror
Edna's behaviour turns increasingly volatile, both begin to sense that an insidious presence in the house might be taking control of her.

SECOND SEASON TRAILER!
And if you need something even scarier, Charlotte Hope's painfully atrocious acting in the trailer for the second season of THE SPANISH

PRINCESS epic series, might scare you to death and afterlife too! In the 2nd run, which stars October 11th at Starz, we continue the story of Queen Catherine and Henry VIII that was started in the tragically poorly written, acted, cast and directed first season. Presiding over the most glamorous court in Europe and beloved by their people, together they create an England that is proud, confident and strong enough to withstand threat from abroad. Catherine's struggle to produce an heir places her marriage and position in the court at risk, and she is haunted by her choices from the past. Despite proving herself a politician, a diplomat, a national inspiration
The first season was the most criminally bad series we've seen on the telly
and even a military commander, Catherine must battle to save her love with the King, and to preserve the peace and prosperity of their reign. Ray Stevenson and Andrew Buchan also star.

ANDREW BUCHAN, RAY STEVENSON JOIN THE SECOND AND THE FINAL PART OF THE SPANISH PRINCESS EPIC TV SAGA AT STARZ!

  'THE SPANISH PRINCESS'
HIRES A FEW NEW COURTIERS
I'm sure you will all agree that this year's White Princess continuation THE SPANISH PRINCESS was an embarrassing disaster, filled with terrible writing, poor casting and the worst acting we've ever seen on the small

screens, but for some reason Starz did not cancel it but is currently shooting eight more final episodes that will close the whole affair and finish it for good. And now they've added some new names for the final season and among them are some of our favourite Brits: Andrew Buchan (as upwardly mobile Sir Thomas More), Ray Stevenson (as Henry's boorish brother in law, King James IV of Scotland) alongside Sai Bennett (as Henry's sister Princess Mary now of age to forge a political alliance for the Tudors through her own marriage) and Peter Egan (as Tudor stalwart General Howard). Sadly, Charlotte Hope and Stephanie Levi John, who have shocked us with their atrocious efforts in acting and utter lack of charisma in the first part, return to their roles of Catherine of Aragon and her lady in waiting, with bland Ruairi O’Connor as king Henry VIII.

  The Second Part
Based, very loosely, and historically ridiculously inaccurate, on the books by Philippa Gregory, the series continues the story of Queen Catherine and Henry VIII. Presiding over the most glamorous court in Europe and beloved by their people, together
Ray Stevenson recently starred in The Musketeers adaptation

SPOTLIGHT ON NEW 17TH CENTURY EPIC TV SERIES 'SAINTS & STRANGERS' WITH VINCENT KARTHEISER, RAY STEVENSON, RON LIVINGSTON, BARRY SLOANE

  'SAINTS & STRANGERS'
EPIC TV SERIES SETS SAIL THIS NOVEMBER AT NAT GEO
It is already obvious that this month is going to bring us quite a lot of new historical series to the small screens and Nat Geo isn't an exception since they're finally releasing their ambitious 17th century four hour epic mini series SAINTS &STRANGERS, the  story of the voyage of the Mayflower and the first year of the Pilgrims in America, to TV on Sunday November 22nd in a two night event! With Oscar winning composer Hans Zimmer scoring the main title theme music, the stellar cast is lead by Vincent Kartheiser, Ron Livingston, Barry Sloane, Ray Stevenson, Natascha McElhone, Chris Fisher and Tatanka Means.

SAINTS & STRANGERS STORY
goes beyond the familiar historical account of Thanksgiving and the founding of Plymouth Plantation, revealing the trials and tribulations of the settlers at Plymouth: 102 men, women and children who sailed on a chartered ship for a place they had never seen. Of this group, half are those we think of as “pilgrims,” religious separatists who abandoned their prior lives for a single cause: religious freedom. The other half, the "merchant adventurers," had less spiritual and more material, real-world objectives. This clash of values created complex inner struggles for the group as they sought to establish a new colony, compounded by a complicated relationship with the local Native American tribes. The conflicting allegiances among these groups culminated in trials of assimilation, faith, and compromise, that continued to define the violent nation to this day.
