UHC Solo Mode and Balancing Update
The UHC Solo Mode update has arrived! This update includes the long-awaited return of Solo Mode, 3 new deathmatch arenas, improved map generation, and new perk prestiges. Check it out!
Solo Mode
Solo mode is back, with some changes!
- Maximum 70 Players
- Game duration is shorter, only 40 minutes for a solo mode game
- Some items behave slightly different in solo mode:
- Golden Heads and Heads have been tweaked to give a bit more regeneration than in Team Mode.
- Tomb robber perk gives twice the amount of golden nuggets in Solo.
- Golden Heads and Heads have been tweaked to give a bit more regeneration than in Team Mode.
- There are no restrictions on spectators in this gamemode, once players are dead they can spectate who they want as long as they want.
There are now 3 new deathmatch arenas!
The selection of the deathmatch will be random each game, they offer a much wider variety of gameplay.
We also added barrier blocks to prevent map exploits, there won't be any confusion regarding those deathmatch strategies anymore.
New Map Generation
We all know how important the environment is during a UHC game. Some biomes are not great to have a fight, some biomes don't give the resources you need, some important resources are too rare..
This update we are experimenting new world generation set ups:
- Sugar canes are now spawning more often along water ponds.
- Some biomes with too much height variations have been deleted and replaced.
- The old "ocean" biomes that were filled with plains are gone. They are replaced with the savannah biomes instead, this makes sure players will always be able to find trees.
- The area around 0;0 will always be a biome without trees so it is easier to setup fights.
Addition of Prestige 2
Profession perks are getting a much needed upgrade.
Once prestige 1 bought for any profession, you can now buy the second prestige for that profession to upgrade the perk.
Prestige 2 Upgrades:
Weaponsmith: Adds an extra 2.5 seconds to Berserk
Armorsmith: Adds an extra 5 seconds to Tenacity
Alchemy: Adds an extra 10% duration to Endurance
Cooking: Vitamin now gives Absorption III
Survivalism: Adds an extra 10% to Expert
Engineering: Speed Mining now gives Haste II
Enchanting: Adds an extra 10% to Magnetism
Bloodcraft: Adds an extra 3 seconds to Speed
Hunter: Adds an extra +1 gold nugget per kill
Patch NotesArmorsmith: Adds an extra 5 seconds to Tenacity
Alchemy: Adds an extra 10% duration to Endurance
Cooking: Vitamin now gives Absorption III
Survivalism: Adds an extra 10% to Expert

- All bow shots over 50 blocks away will now be broadcasted
- Arrows landed now return enemy player’s health in chat
- Added 10 new achievements
- Maximum Star Level is raised to 15, up from 10
- Each new rank above 10 requires 3000 score to level up
- Level 15 has a new secret Title
- Each new rank above 10 requires 3000 score to level up
- Mossy cobblestone is now craftable by combining Vines and Cobblestone
- Enderpearls can no longer be used during the Deathmatch Grace Period, and will not teleport during this time (even for mid-air enderpearls).
- Once the player count reaches 20 players remaining, the deathmatch timer is reduced to 10 minutes.
- Global kill count of the team is now added to the scoreboard in game.
- Bloodcraft’s Golden Head now provides 6 hearts of regeneration, up from 4 (In Solo)
- Cornucopia now only gives 3 carrots, however they now give 2 Hearts of Regeneration instead of Absorption.
- Axe of Perun Changes
- Axe of Perun is now a Golden Axe, down from Diamond
- Axe of Perun deals 5 true damage of health, up from 4
- Cooldown between lightning strikes increased to 5 seconds, up from 3
- Daredevil now travel at 85% of their previous speed
- Excalibur’s crafting recipe has been changed to: 3 TNT, 3 Stone, and 1 Diamond Sword:
- Pandora’s Box has changed drop rates for some enchantments:
- Essence of Yggdrasil now gives your entire team 30 levels upon being crafted
- Andùril is now sharpness II instead of I
- Exodus’s effect does not trigger with snowballs, fishing rods, thorns backfire or eggs anymore.
- Chest of Fate potion changes:
- Chest of Fate potion now gives Speed II and Absorption X, from V
- Chest of Fate can no longer be crafted during the Grace Period before PVP enables
- Golden Apples will no longer refill absorption while the Chest of Fate potion’s absorption is active

Ranked Skywars - Prizes and Update
Buckets of prizes, 8 new maps, 4 new kits, and more!
You can now claim your Ranked SkyWars prizes from the previous season!
Navigate to the emerald shop in the SkyWars lobby and you'll discover that the Ranked SkyWars stats icon is now clickable, and takes you to a page where you can see what rewards were given out last season and claim any that you earned!
New Ranked Rewards Claiming System
From now on, whenever a season of SkyWars ends and everyone's rating is reset, you will be able to claim rewards in the new Ranked Rewards menu (previously the Ranked Stats icon in the SkyWars lobby shop).
There are 5 different reward tiers - 4 Divisions and a participation prize. The divisions are as follows:
Participation Prize (250 rating requirement)
- +35,000 Hypixel Experience
- +10,000 SkyWars Coins
- +Epic Ender Dragonling Hat
If you've played enough games to reach 250 rating, regardless of your ranking, you will be able to claim this Participation Prize. This prize will remain the same every season, allowing new players who want to unlock the unique hat it offers, a chance to get it even if they've missed their chance in the previous seasons. Can be claimed on top of the rewards below.
Iron Division (#1501 - #5000)
- 50,000 Hypixel Experience
- 25,000 SkyWars Coins
- Season 1 Iron SkyWars Banner Gadget
This gadget allows you to place a banner on the ground that will display what rank and division you were in a particular season. When you unlock it for the first time and you try to use it, a sub-menu will appear, asking you which season's banner you want to place on the ground. You must unlock every season's banner if you want to be able to place them all. Unlocking it once does not unlock every season's banner.
Gold Division (#201 - #1500)
- 100,000 Hypixel Experience
- 45,000 SkyWars Coins
- Season 1 Gold SkyWars Banner Gadget
- Blood Explosion Kill Effect
The kill effect will trigger whenever you kill someone. To equip it, open the SkyWars lobby shop and click on the new SkyWars Cosmetics button, represented by the Slimeball. Navigate to the Kill Effects sub-menu and activate it there.
Diamond Division (#11 - #200)

The Magic Box Cage adds an extra cage to your cage selection. This one is made of barrier blocks and makes you appear as if you were floating in the sky during pregame!

- Dragon Rider Victory Dance
Similar to the kill effects, the Dragon Rider Victory Dance is part of the newly added SkyWars Cosmetics section in the lobby shop. Equip it first by navigating to the Victory Dances sub-menu and then from there, every time you win, you will temporarily ride an Ender Dragon, allowing you to destroy what's left of the map before you are sent back to the lobby. As for the Masters Trophy, that feature is still in development and planning stage. More info on this in the future.
For now, almost all of these rewards will return each season. For example, if you didn't get to unlock the Dragon Rider Victory Dance this season because you didn't make it to the Masters Division, you can still attempt to unlock it again during the next season.
There are however a few exceptions to this. Banners for a specific season can only ever be obtained once and the cosmetic reward introduced in the Gold Division (the Blood Explosion Kill Effect) is on a 3-season rotation. What this means is, if you didn't get the Blood Explosion Kill Effect during Season 1, it will return as a reward in Season 4, and then return again for Season 7, etc. The Gold Division cosmetic reward for Season 2 will be the Hearts Particle Trail effect, which will return in Season 5, then Season 8, etc.

Healer Perk
- Obtain 5 HP back on kills
- Upon kill obtain 16 seconds of fire resistance, 10s of speed 1 and a trail of fire
- Every kills drop a random enchanted book and give you 3 EXP levels
- Duration of all active perks is doubled
Other Changes
We've also tweaked a few other things to balance out the game a little more.
- Magician Perk now levels up ALL enchantments on kill as an extra effect
- Added Lure 7 and Luck of the Sea X on the Fishing Rod of Fisherman (Solo)
- Changed Baseball kit to Knockback I Wood Sword + Iron Helmet Protection I (Team)
- Replaced the 32 Redstone in the Cannoneer kit with 4 Redstone Blocks (Solo/Team/Mega)
- Enderchest kit now has an Enderchest as the kit icon (Solo)
- Added the SkyWars Cosmetics category to host the new Ranked cosmetic rewards and more.
- Moved the Cages into the SkyWars Cosmetics category.
- Merged the Soul Harvesters and Soul Upgrades categories in the shop.
