Curiously enough, the story didn’t end there. As early as 2016, following Benoît David’s departure from Yes, the band approached Horn with the idea of re-recording the lead vocals. He remixed the album from the ground-up, adding a previously-unreleased Steve Howe track (“Don't Take No For An Answer”) into the sequence and replacing some of the original instrumentation with new overdubs. Released in 2018 and retitled Fly From Here (Return Trip), the record was now re-contextualized as a spiritual sequel to Drama..verall, Richard Whittaker has delivered a reference-quality immersive mix that breathes new life into a divisive album. The Atmos rendition of the album makes clever use of the side, rear, and height channels to unpack the album’s dense arrangements, providing newfound insight and clarity to these complex songs. Perhaps best of all, it’s available as an affordable standalone Blu-Ray–rather than confined to a massive multi-disc box set out in 2026.
