Journey from Stansted Airport

Our journey from Stansted Airport was absolutely delightful. We arrived an hour earlier and they let us in sooner without any problem. The coach bus was clean and very comfortable. Even better so, the driver Alex had an incredibly sweet energy - it's seen from his approach to costumers that he really loves what he does. He instructed us kindly on the rules of the company and even spoke Italian! He genuinely brought a bright spark to our tiring day!! ^^

Shoutout to the Incredible Bus Driver, Adrian – A True Guardian Angel!

I want to shout out to the amazing bus driver, Adrian, who drove the A6 (Bus number- BV22 VSM)route between Stansted Airport and London. Early on Sunday morning, around 1 am, I accidentally left my phone on the bus while traveling to London from the airport. Thankfully, Adrian found it and even answered my dad’s call in the morning. I was so exhausted from a 5-day trip that I didn’t realize my phone was missing until my dad told me. When I called my phone, Adrian immediately assured me it was safe. He held onto it until we met around 9 am, even charging it for me as the battery had died. He was incredibly kind, answered all my calls, and went out of his way to help. Adrian truly was a guardian angel that day.

National Express really got things right!

First time I have travelled by coach to and from airport and will definitely do so again. Perfect times for my flight. Kept to timetable exactly - National Express accurately adjusted the planned timings for different times of travel. After having a four hour delay and being abandoned miles from my destination due to problems on the track, last time I travelled by train, this was really refreshing. Finally what great drivers and staff. Helpful, caring and informative.

ON 26th October I travelled from…

ON 26th October I travelled from Stansted airport to colchester at 15.45 on arriving I fell down the steps of the coach the driver was so kind helped me up and made sure I was OK before leaving on my return journey at 14.10 on 2nd November same driver ask how I was so a big thank you to him National express you have a great guy there.

Unjustified delays, careless driver

We arrived at Leicester station 17:40.
Only one passenger got on the coach but still left 18.05 for no reason.
The driver kept chatting away with his friends, then inform passenger we're leaving 25 mins late from Leicester.
These unnecessary delays are appauling and keep occurring frequently, everytime I use its services.

I already used national express quite a…

I already used national express quite a few times. I only have good thing to say about the staff. But there are 2 things that I think it could be improved: it takes too long from Stanstead to the center of London (1h40m to Kings Cross), and the bus stop at Kings Cross isn't easy to find (it's on the back of the station).

The fare was very reasonable and…

The fare was very reasonable and compared very well with the cost of having to drive to Leeds. It also meant that I didn't have to negotiate an unfamiliar city by car. I found the driver courteous and we arrived slightly ahead of schedule. The return journey was delayed by 20 minutes but it was the busiest part of the day and we were kept fully informed.

Great experience every time

I have been travelling from the airport with national express for the past 20 years. Always have a great experience, staff is very friendly and accommodating, coach is comfortable with enough ports to charge an electronic device or two. The driver always tries to arrive on time. Over 20 years I never came across an unfriendly member of staff of National express, they are always helpful if you can't find the right stop for your departure at the airport if you approach anyone wearing a National express vest they will for sure be willing to help. They also offer very good value for money if you book your ticket early. Well done to all National Express employees for being so AMAZING!

Lost property …

We were travelling to Stansted Airport on a very early morning coach. Once through security we noticed our purse was missing. On arrival at my destination I had received an e mail from lost property at National Express advising that an item was found asking to describe it. Soon after it was confirmed that it was our item, which was posted to us on our return to the UK.
I am very impressed by the service and communication with the team.

The driver was courteous and pleasant

The driver was courteous and pleasant. The coach comfortable and on time. To our surprise it was more convenient than the train - and even better, much less expensive. The only negative is the really awful coach station at Brighton Pool Valley. No where to wait under cover making it a very, very bad advertisement for National Express.

As a foreigner it is difficult to find the right station

I bought a ticket from Manchester Airport to Liverpool old Swan Kwit fit what was noted on the ticket. As I am a foreigner, I asked the driver to call out the station to het out. He promised to do so. Then ther was a driver change and I asked again, when the right station. would be to arrive. His answer was "not yet". So I asked the lady driver who continued the way, to announce the Old Swan station for me. She also promised to do so. Suddenly she called the "last station" and I was astonished because she never called Old Swan. Moreover, she claimed that the bus was not to stop at that station, which is ridiculous, because for the return I enterd the bus there.

Poor customer service and support

This coach company can not come on time yesterday I was there since 1pm just to miss all the busses that I had booked The women's working there weren't helpful especially the younger worker she had alot of attitude and her pride wasn't allowing to saying she was wrong. She made me miss 2 busses that I was waiting for.

Cardiff-London Sunday service

I have used National Express after some years away from the UK, in August 2024 between Cardiff, Wales & London.

The bus was on time with not many passengers. Most got on in Newport, so plenty of seats to choose between.

Friendly driver & generally it was a good experience.

I tend go after price with these shorter distances but this time, departure times & days was more important.
National express has reasonable pricing in comparison to its competitors & for me on this trip; better departure times & more to choose between.

You can't go wong with NE as they have a reputation to uphold & will do what they can to get you from A to B.

28th Monday 6:20 bus driver didn’t want…

28th Monday 6:20 bus driver didn’t want to touch luggage at all (pregnant woman) didn’t set off until 6:28, used different way instead of hanover street duck street, driving ruff, keep speaking to customer about private national express driver that didn’t get on with each other, and speaking about some Ukrainian driver that had a crash in the motorway, and didn’t respect England.. felled a bit of rasism over this. we didn’t want to hear about all this
I use the couch every 2 times a week??? This is unusual and unprofessional??? Couch Ref: SE 72 comeback with the same drive shouting if anyone stopping in Warrington otherwise we going troughs Runcorne to avoid it?

The coach arrived on time

The coach arrived on time, the driver was friendly and helpful.
The journey was very comfortable, the seats are clean and comfortable with the option to recline without too much impact to the person behind. There is a charging point for a phone and a toilet on board. There are regular announcements to inform you of the next stop.
The driver was aware of a major delay on the motorway and made a good decision based on the traffic to get to the airport on time.

Trip to show in Birmingham.

Overall fairly satisfied but, as we are an elderly couple, we wanted to reserve seats but were told this could not be done on the route to/from Birmingham. However, on boarding at Newton Abbot at 0750 on 30 October at least 8 seats at front nearside all had reserved bibs on them, but then remained unoccupied for the whole journey!!!! Also, there was no toilet paper in the onboard toilet. The journey itself was otherwise satisfactory, although departure from Birmingham was about 30 minutes late.

Journeys increase in price as soon as you enquire

Look for a journey one day, the next days its £8 more,
seems to always happen, like the system generates increases knowing someone is looking.
A journey ive taken many times which i know is never busy, so that is not an excuse.

fabulous coach driver

I would like to express my fantastic experience with my journey on 3/11/24 5:25am Liverpool to Manchester Airport. The coach driver was very helpful and absolutely lovely, took our suitcases and handled them and was very polite and kind despite some rude customers! Big credits to the driver (please express this to him) :)

Stress free travel and a lot less expensive than a train

Good service and takes the stress out of driving yourself on motorways. Easy to book on line and free parking for as many days as you want. I would suggest though if you’re going to Milton Keynes give extra time to park as it gets very full, think it’s used by office workers so probably early start or weekend booking. Very fast to destination and reasonable cost
