A series that aired in 2004 and here I am in June 2018 just bingeing it away! The very first episode of Desperate Housewives proves one final thing that's most important to anyone besides me who may not have seen it yet, IT HOLDS UP PERFECTLY TO TODAY! I MEAN IT...JUST PERFECTLY!
This episode got a 10 because it had all the ingredients to make a masterful 45 minutes of entertainment. From eva Longoria mowing the lawn at night in a dress so that the garden boy isnt fired by her husband, to Terry fletcher seeing Micahel Delfino (what a suspicious name??) and relieved and saying, "Its fine, it's fine, everthing fine!" While she glowes with a huge smile in front of a house she just burnt down.
Theres even a muder myster going on too in the background to add intrigue and what do you know the man with the phony sounding name may be a bad guy or hey, maybe not. And the end with the intriguing letter that Mary Ellis, who is narrating the episode and the one who commits suicide opening up the episode.
This show Desperate Housewives, a good name too, is defintely a series that seems binge worthy with 180 episodes!!!
This episode was pure fun and flashes of laughter!! It got me itching for the next episode button so here I go!!! 10/10

I've watched a lot of shows so I've watched a lot of pilots. This is one of the best. Everything seems so perfect, but you never know what could be hiding below the surface.
I loved this episode! I bought the Desperate Housewives box, but i had only seen one episode. So i sat down and watched the first episode (pilot) and laughed so much! My favorite character is Lynette (Felicity Hauffman). She was so funny! I also loved all the other characters; Susan (Teri Hatcher), Bree (Marcia Cross), and the other girls and boys. Bree was such a cool woman, when everything had to be perfect. And Susans food was a great sequence! Lynette was a great woman who had so many children's (i loved went in the pool at the funeral). How can i say this... Well, great episode with great actresses. Many quick and funny lines and it felt good. I'm looking forwards to the other episodes!
The Pilot episode from October of 2004 of "ABC's" "Desperate Housewives" was one that was entertaining and sexy it had me like many others hooked as a viewer from the start. It all begins when mother and housewife Mary Alice has her perfect life ended. Now it's the journey and travels of the lives of her four best friends Susan(Teri Hatcher) Lynette(Felicity Huffman) Bree(Marcia Cross) and Gabrielle(Eva Longoria). From the get go secrets and behind the scenes business is shown. Susan as a single mom has a crush on new neighborhood hunk Mike, and sexy model turned socialite trophy wife Gabrielle(Eva Longoria) is playing her field of vices by having an affair with her 17 year old gardener John.(And wow I must say the seduction scene help set the tone for the whole series as being intimate and sexy love Gabrielle in that very sexy multi colored bra and panties!) Both Bree and Lynette are crazy dealing with kids and family. Together this episode started it as it was a taste of the many mysteries to come over the years and seasons.
When this show first started I veered away from it because I thought it was just some just-for-ladies show. I didn't start watching it until 2009 and I started watching Season 1 with my to-be wife. We both loved the show but this pilot knocks it out of the park we just started watching it again last night on Hulu.
