As soon as "Ain't Talkin' 'Bout Love" started playing, I knew this was a masterpiece...

" I'm Jewish. That's no cakewalk either. Last year, I was elected school treasurer. I didn't even run!"

Nothing more to say. Just a masterpiece. So far, this show has been amazing. These first two episodes really set an amazing first impression. The freak and geek stuff just works so well together and makes the show easy to connect with no matter who you are, sometimes you can even connect to both sides. The show is so funny, but Also has such good emotional moments, and it pulls it all off so well. And of course, no drinking, we need a designated driver. You can have more fun without drinking than with drinking. :))

    "Should've hired a magician"

If "Freaks and Geeks" is anything, it's coming-of-age; and 'Beers and Weirs' is the first real step in that direction. It's Lindsay's concerted effort to fit in by throwing a kegger while the folks are away - which spirals completely out of control in no time. But it's not the premise, it's the characters, and the interactions are pure gold (Seth Rogen, in particular). And Martin Starr firmly establishes Bill as the one-liner king. But Linda Cardellini is key to all of this as Lindsay comes face-to-face with a life that's all kinds of scary. It's funny, sad, and altogether well-written.

    • Trivia
Executive producer Paul Feig had originally planned to do a storyline based on the wrenching real-life process of integration that his high school went through. When NBC nixed this idea, a subplot where Neal and an African-American student compare their histories of suffering was written; the network gave it the okay.
    • Goofs
When Lindsay is in math class, the teacher has an equation for the Simple Power Rule and the equation is incorrect. The -1 should be in the exponent of x so that x is raised to the n-1 power.
