My Favourite Episode Of Season One

After meeting both Ross and Monica's parents and then Chandlers mother earlier in the first season, it's Joeys turn to have his parents turn up.

Plot In A Paragraph: Joey's Dad is in town and a secret is revealed that troubles Joey. Pheobe is dating a psychiatrist who managed to upset almost the entire group by analysing them. And Rachel is furious when Chandler accidentally sees her boobs.

My favourite episode of the first season so far. The whole "tit for tat" running joke was very funny.

We also see some serious bonding when they share a bed.

I enjoyed Fisher Stevens as Roger, Pheobe's boyfriend. And really feel they could have kept him round a bit longer. Robert Costanzo is fun as Joey's Dad, Lee Garlington was OK as Ronnie and Brenda Vaccaro as fine as Gloria Tribbiani.

    Hilarious

The ending cracked me up xD. Monica surely wished she didn't seen it.

    • Trivia
This episode marks the changing of Monica's apartment from #5 to #20. This change was made after the producers, writers, and scenic team decided that #5 would be much closer to the ground in the theoretical layout of the apartment building. Monica's apartment - by virtue of the iconic views from the windows and balcony - would stand on the third floor, at least. The apartment is likely on a floor higher due to the friends' sightlines when viewing neighbors and street activity from the balcony. This change also means that Chandler and Joey's apartment number would be moved from #4 to #19.
    • Goofs
Joey Sr. mentions taking the ferry back and forth to Manhattan, suggesting that he lives in Staten Island. In later episodes, it is noted that Joey's family lives in Queens.

      [first lines]

Rachel Green: [caught bare-breasted by surprise] You just barge in here, you don't knock?

[holding robe in front of her decolletage]

      Chandler Bing: Wait, wait!

Rachel Green: No, you wait! This is ridiculous!

Chandler Bing: Let me just say one thing...

      Rachel Green: What? What?

Chandler Bing: That's a relatively open weave and I can still see your... nippular area.

      Rachel Green: Oh!

      [runs off]
