Good To See Jason Segel Leading An Episode

This is not the greatest episode of "How I Met Your Mother", in fact it's one of the silliest, I complained Jason Segel was underused this season in an earlier review, however I did not expect to find him leading up an episode like this.. That said it is not without its funny moments.

Plot In A Paragraph: When Marshall reveals to the gang he was mugged in Central Park, Lilly freaks out, and prompted by Robin, she decides to get herself a gun, so she feel safe at home. Worried by this Marshall tells everybody he was mugged by a monkey, the gang find this hilarious (although are unsure if they believe him) Robin wants to interview Marshall on her breakfast show, hoping the funny nature of the story may get picked up by the national news. Barney meanwhile is just using Marshals mugging story as a new way to pick up women using the sympathy card.

Not as funny as previous episodes, but not without a chuckle or two either.

    • Trivia
The belt worn by Barney after he lies about having a threeway was first part of a storyline from the 3rd episode of the 3rd season, titled "Third Wheel".
    • Goofs
In the 16th minute "Robin" pulls out a gun, the gun's safety slide is on the right side of the gun which means it's a left-handed version exclusive to people who are left handed , but "Robin" is right handed. (the safety slide is designed to be switched by the dominant hands thumb) In fact, the type of gun Robin keeps in her purse is equipped with an ambidextrous thumb safety, so the shooter can operate the safety regardless of being left or right handed.
    • Quotes

Robin Scherbatsky: Are you acting out the last scene of "Sleepless In Seattle" with dolls?

Ted Mosby: How long have you been there?

      Robin Scherbatsky: Ten seconds.

Ted Mosby: Then yeah, just the last scene.
