Enjoyable, predictable fluff designed to warm the heart.
Several pairings, a bit of angst and some sad trudging through what passes for "snow" whenever these storylines end up bring filmed.
Harmless, uplifting.
The characters meld well together, but you get the feeling that nobody accelerated out of third gear at any point.

The beginning of the end for Gibbs' tenure is nicely set up in this large-ensemble cast-based episode.
This is a carefully crafted episode which tugs at the heartstrings for animal welfare.
The team works well together (as usual) and even Mr Coyle from the Inspector General's office comes good in the end.
The final denouement between Leon Vance and Gibbs is well scripted.
