Earl of Angus's Regiment of Foot

The next unit up is the Earl of Angus's Regiment of Foot (later 26th 'Cameronian' Regiment of Foot), at Blenheim they formed part of Brigadier General James Ferguson's Brigade.

The figures are 28mm Front Rank miniatures and the flag is by Maverick Models.

Lumley's Regiment of Horse

Reinforcements for my WSS British army, this time Lumley's Regiment of Horse. 28mm Front Rank Figures, flag from Maverick Models. This time I've gone for a uniform appearance for the horses. Everything is taking shape, just need to concentrate on lots more cavalry. 

My Prussian forces are nearly complete, just the artillery to add (being painted now), and I'll be posting them on the blog in the near future. Currently, also on the painting table are two more regiments of French Horse, and I still have to sort out the flag for a regiment of horse painted last year but not yet posted. Then I'll look to make a start on the Dutch forces.

18th Regiment of Foot 'Royal Irish'

18th Regiment of Foot 'Royal Irish', 28mm Front Rank Figurines, flag from Maverick Models. Lots of 18th century figures flying off the paint table at the moment. Feel that concentrating on one period has speeded up my painting, as if I've got my eye in on the figures I'm painting. That may of course be  misleading, but I'm enjoying painting WSS at the moment. Not to say that other periods will be completely neglected, just put on hold while I'm in the mood for the WSS.

Horse colours should be dark, but I took a liberty for a campaign look. I think my next regiments will be on dark mounts.

Orkney's 'The Royal Scots' Regiment of Foot

The next battalion to take the field for my WSS British army is Orkney's, 'The Royal Scots'. Figures are 28mm Front Rank Figurines and the flag is from Maverick Models.
