Casino of Murcia on Xmas 2023

That is a really beautiful facade from Casino of Murcia. As a remind, that is a private cultural center but many rooms could be visited. Not to missed if you come to City of Murcia. Located at Traperia Street.

Street Concerts Xmas Time 2023

 During last Xmas time, it was to possible to enjoy different concerts from different music styles on some diferent stages location.

Three Wise Men 2024

 Every January 6th, during passed night, the Three Wise Men visited houses in Spain (also in other countries) to give those gifts that children (also adults) asked for them.

Dream Again

 

'Dream again' has been the motto for this Christmas in the City of Murcia (as a reminder, the Christmas period is until January 6 in Spain)

The Garden of Dreams

 The Garden of Dreams, one of the attractions prepared by the Murcia City Council for this Christmas in the city. In the Malecón Garden, it is the most visited space and where Murcians and visitors have endured the most queues. Shows with fairies and fantastic animals and with the ride of giant glass balls with fairies inside.

The proposal, "a novel sensory experience," allowed visitors to "blend into nature" through allegories of the sea, flowers and winter installed throughout the venue. Among the decorative elements, six 3-meter-long jellyfish, a 2-meter-high swan, a 2-meter-long neon sign, fifteen elves and gnomes and eight large inflatable mushrooms could be seen.

Likewise, 130 Pixel Led Bars, 120 RGB Spotlights for decoration, eight robotic heads, 12,000 linear meters of garland (warm, blue, green and pink) and 220 meters of neon strip have been installed. Twenty special effects machines and fourteen speakers have provided the necessary sound and atmosphere for each of the proposed themes. (Source: LaVerdad.es)

Xmas Tree and Old Bridge

 That is a smaller Xmas Tree than previous post. Very beautiful.

I like on that capture, the contrast light between the Xmas Tree and the Old Bridge (I invite you to click on "Old Bridge" label to see more pictures from previous posts and to know more about that bridge).

 It seems that there is a challenge between cities at Spain about who has the bigger Xmas Tree made by lights.

That is for Murcia city: 32 meters high and 23 diameter meters on base.

Last January 1st and 2nd 2019, over Segura river, a music and fire show was performed.

During last Xmas time, on Town Hall facade and, accompanied by music, a light show was performed every day.

Tramway to Christmas Tree

Today is the last day of Christmas at Spain, with the Day of the Magi or Three Wise Men. That Three Wise Men (riding their camels) leave the gifts that the children have asked for in the houses at night (at night January 5th to 6th).

Xmas Site for Children

Like previous years, at neighborhood of El Carmen, at former artillery barracks, a number of amusement park for children were installed: merry-go-round, ice rink for skating, tobogganing, music, ...

Bye-Bye 2018

Although it does not look like it, this photo is taken in the last days of 2018. With a maximum temperature of 20 ºC, it is being a Christmas time very lonely (which is appreciated). At night, about 3ºC (in some towns of the Murcia Region, -1ºC).
For that, 2018 is gone, and a hopeful 2019 is about to begin.

Oh Brother!

Another place where music has been playing has been in the Glorieta, in front of the City Hall. In this place, craft market, including craft beer, food trucks, and lots of music.
In the picture, Oh Brother! A band from Murcia playing classics from the contemporary music, with a southern american music style. It is a "folk cover band".

Thousands of children were wathing the traditional parade on Xmas' eve.

Lighting of the City

At Glorieta, and with a mapping of the Town Hall facade, the lighting of the Christmas lights has been inaugurated throughout the city (December, 18th 2018).
The best, a concert from the main balcony of the Town Hall, by the hand of Al Dual and his band. Who is Al dual. It is a Murcian musician who: "Al Dual, who performed a great show on Feb 11th 2018 at the Graceland Theater in Memphis (Tennessee), won the award of "Best Rockabilly Male" during the gala of the 5th Edition Ameripolitan Music Awards on Feb 13th. Despite the tough competition he had in his category, because of the prize was disputed with such great artists like Art Adams or Levi Dexter, but finally was Al Dual who took the well-deserved award!!" Also, El Churra Choir made a collaboration on two Christmas songs with Al Dual.

Xmas Carols

One of the novelties of this year in terms of music (and has been, a lot of music), Christmas carols. A whole day of choirs through the streets singing Christmas carols.
