Ive been a Netflix customer for over 10 years and almost never contact support because I usually solve technical problems myself. Unfortunately, when I finally needed help, I had one of the worst customer service experiences I’ve ever had. Netflix started signing me out on one device whenever I signed in on another. All devices are in the same home and connected to the same Wi-Fi network. The first agent, Mohammed, repeatedly insisted I was using different networks, despite my explaining multiple times that I wasn’t. I asked whether the issue could be related to using the built-in Netflix app on my TV versus a Fire TV Stick. He never answered the question and eventually stopped responding completely. I waited approximately 1.5 hours before the chat disconnected due to inactivity. I contacted support again and was taken through the same resets I had already performed about four times. The second agent again insisted I was using different networks. I then demonstrated the issue in real time: on the same TV and home network, signing into the TV app caused Netflix on the Fire Stick to stop working; signing into the Fire Stick caused the TV app to stop working. I explained exactly what happened. The agent disappeared, returned, repeated the same scripted response about “different networks,” and ended the chat. Two agents, hours wasted, and no solution. Technical problems happen, that’s why customer support exists. What is unacceptable is having agents ignore the information you provide, refuse to investigate beyond scripted responses, and then disappear or end the chat. After paying for Netflix for over a decade, I expected actual support when I finally needed it. Instead, my issue remains unresolved.
