At last - a meal prep company that actually fills you up, doesn't contain 60% green beans, and doesn't contain a load of emulsifiers and preservatives in the pastes or powders while pretending to be healthy or 'fresh'... Worth the extra cost in my opinion.

We have been using Mindful Chef for nearly 3 years. We love it. We order 2 meals a week which gives us structure, flexibility plus variety. The quality of meat, poultry, fish and fresh fruit & vegetables are excellent, as is the diversity of international flavours. It’s easy to skip meals for a week or more due to travel, or we aren’t inspired by the options one week or another. It’s an easy & fun way to spend time together prepping / dinner. Portion sizes are large and we often have some for lunch the next day.

This is a part of my routine that I have to say I'd be a little lost without now. There are no other ways of getting a healthy fresh meal that tastes fantastic without searching recipes and overbuying ingredients. Mindful Chef is miles away from Hello Fresh in its quality of ingredients and recipes and was an integral part of my losing weight over the last year. The only small negative is that they, as a company, are taken in by various spurious globalist narratives, but isn't everyone. Really fantastic company - give them a try.

I like the healthy focus of the mindful chef boxes, particularly helping to include more veg into meals. I thought the menu was a little restricted compared to other providers, and the portion sizes were a little smaller. I also struggled to dispose of the freezer pack contents, whereas other providers just use ice that melts easily.

Sadly we had to stop using water-based ice packs last year as the condensation they create caused a lot of damage to boxes and resulted in a lot of boxes not making it to their final destinations, but we are still exploring this as an option.

So we’ve had the Mindful Chef box for 3 weeks. The positives - tried some new foods, includes good quality ingredients, reduced our food waste, took the mental load out of thinking what to have for dinner especially for me as a coeliac as all their recipes are gluten free.
The negative - the adverts where they claim is reduces your food cost. It definitely doesn’t - even with the 25% discount on the first 4 boxes our weekly food costs increased by £30-£40. Don’t get me wrong, I know and appreciate I’m paying for convenience but this is a false claim to use in their advertising.
We’ve cancelled the service now as at full price we just don’t feel the positives outweigh the cost of it but all in all it’s been the best meal box we have tried. We may get a box in the future every now and then for a treat.

Our pricing structure also encompasses the comprehensive service we offer at Mindful Chef, covering packaging and delivery costs.
It's important to note that our recipes feature more nutritious, fresh vegetables, and our meat and fish portions are actually 25% larger than those offered by our competitors. This means that while our prices might be higher, the value for money is equal to, if not greater than, what you'd find elsewhere.
Regardless, I have forwarded your feedback to our product team for review, with the aim of making improvements.
It's great that you found it beneficial overall, but I can see why you’d want to cancel if the costs were too high for regular use. Maybe a box here and there as a treat is a good compromise!
3 weeks in for 2 very foody chefy types, and the quality of the ingredients, and recipe choices are excellent. It’s a very simple process to sign up and pick what’s on the menu next week. The only niggle is DPD as a delivery partner. They’re like young teenagers on mischievous night … knocking and running!

My partner and I have enjoyed most of our chosen meals; during the first week we had two meals that were incomplete and needed to have a main ingredient supplied from our store cupboard. Plus the green herbs supplied were wilted and yellow. The second week was okay; most meals were adequate but at least two were not a filling meal for two adults.

Great recipes, tasty and good portion size. Easy to follow instructions.
Every thing needed is sent. The only thing I can see for improvement is some more recyclable packaging. Also issue with courier not follow instructions about delivery.

My friend has been telling me about mindful chef for some time and I’ve always thought it wasn’t anything I would be interested in, particularly as I love cooking and am reasonably adept at it. Recently I’ve been incapacitated due to injury and couldn’t drive so I thought I would give it a go. I’ve had five meals per week and without exception we have enjoyed them all. There’s no thinking about what to make or what to buy and none of those endless leftover Tupperware’s that go into the fridge on their way to the dustbin. We love mindful chef and can’t imagine not having it. We are converts. The only downside is my friends “I told you so” - yes truly insufferable

Terrible experience. First of all didn’t place the order but told my subscription re-activated after so many weeks! Really hate this kind of selling. Packaging was damaged, meat looks really fatty. Very poor customer service, defensive responsive insisting I got email when I didn’t and still on 3rd attempt at asking if my account has been closed I still can’t get an answer. £100 for 4 meals is an absolute rip off

We’ve had a look at your account, and although you skipped some individual deliveries (which you can do up to 8 weeks in advance), you didn’t cancel the subscription, which is why the order was processed.
We send a courtesy reminder email before the deadline for each order so I’m so sorry if this was missed. This reminds you of the details of your next delivery, giving you time to cancel the order or change your recipes.
I can see a member of the team has reached out to you directly regarding the meat, damages and the closure of your account.

My box is regularly left outside, despite instructions to leave it in my porch, Mindful Chef appear to be unable to fix this simple issue with their delivery supplier. Yoghurt packets are punctured in transit and leak over the contents of our box. Substitute ingredients are sometimes used and yesterday, the sell by date on our chicken expires the day after delivery. We enjoy their meals, but Mindful Chef seem incapable of resolving these basic problems. I provide feedback each week to try to help them improve but unfortunately we encounter problems most weeks.

The recipes are easy to follow, for a man who hates cooking this is very welcome! I thoroughly recommend Mindful Chef, excellent value for money and delicious meals.
