LITALY

CLIENT

The largest mozzarella di bufala production complex in the Stavropol Krai. The enterprise produces authentic mozzarella di Bufala from the milk of black Dutch buffaloes and other pasta filata cheeses using traditional Italian recipes and technologies. To ensure the product is as authentic as possible, a hereditary Italian cheesemaker works at the facility.

TASK

Comprehensive branding — naming, logo, and packaging for a new line of buffalo milk cheeses. The goal was to create packaging that would reflect the quality and uniqueness of the product, stand out on the shelf, and communicate the manufacturer’s values. The first product in the line was the packaging for buffalo mozzarella.

SOLUTION AND PROCESS

When developing the naming, we worked with the “Little Italy” concept. BMK “Nadezhdinsky” mozzarella is a classic Italian product, made using a traditional recipe by an Italian cheesemaker. So, from the abbreviation “Little Italy,” we got “Litally.”

We developed packaging design that would stand out on the shelf and be a pleasure to bring as a gift or place on the table. It immediately communicates that something special is inside, partly thanks to the color combination. We aimed for a bright yet characteristic solution — the red, white, and another layer of red create an association with the most popular dish in Russia that uses mozzarella — the Caprese salad.

As a result of our work, a brand was born that is developing a new product category for the Russian market, one that retail chains are ready to work with. And, of course, it is liked by customers who want to enjoy the taste of real mozzarella di Bufala.
