Amara Brava Spritz

Emi Renzi

We were in charge of the design and illustration for the newest member of the Hijos de Rivera family. The corporation, which owns beer brands such as Estrella Galicia, 1906, and Lupia, along with the Maeloc ciders, hired us to design their new product in the ‘ready-to-drink’ (RTD) spritz category, one of the fastest-growing global trends.

Concept: Living Distinctly
The core concept driving the design was distilled into the phrase: “VIVIR A TU MANERA SABE DISTINTO” (Living Your Way Tastes Different).

This concept goes beyond simple freshness; it is a direct call to courage, adventure, and the audacity of being spontaneous. We sought to capture the spirit of those who forge their own path: confident, bold, and unapologetic. The design had to reflect this energy, fusing the quality of a Hijos de Rivera product with the contemporary spirit of the ready-to-drink market.

Key Design Criteria
To bring this adventurous attitude to life, we established several key design criteria:

Bold Authenticity: The design had to reflect authenticity and be energetic and impactful. This was achieved through color combinations and a strong, clear structure, with vector ornaments featuring the tiger as the symbol of the concept.

Vibrance and Spontaneity: The color palette was crucial. We deliberately chose vibrant hues, communicating the unexpected flavor profile and spontaneous nature of the product.

Storytelling Through Image: The illustration was designed to be expressive yet minimalist, focusing on the tiger as the main symbol and icons that represented nature and freedom.
It had to stand out confidently on the shelf, immediately attracting attention and communicating the product’s bold positioning.

We are very satisfied with the result, which we invested a lot of effort and dedication into, as with every project we undertake. This design successfully propels Hijos de Rivera into a dynamic new category with a bold and memorable identity.
