"Beautiful You" Card #4

The fourth and final card to this class, is a paper piecing one. I love doing this! Especially with the addition of alcohol markers to add some shading (not done here). I did use the Bermuda Bay Watercolour Pencil to create  the blue highlight around the figure, though.

Close up...

I had one more photo to place here, but it won't upload for some reason. It is my usual side view so you can see the layering and is popped up. I guess we won't get to see it today. But next is the inside of the card.

So that's it for this class which is fun filled with different techniques.

Happy stamping everyone!

Paper Inlay with Detailed Floral Thinlits - Sympathy Card

I forgot to post this sympathy card a while back. I tried my hand at some paper inlay which I don't do very often. I think if you use multiple colours it is a little more dramatic and eye catching. The the receiver loved it and that's always the main thing, right?

A closer look. I used my sponge and So Saffron to colour, or darken, some of the pieces a bit.

Somehow, I forgot to take a photo of the inside...

I created the black frame to position over the die cut piece to hide the edges after cutting it down to size.

Paper inlay takes time and patience, especially with this die, but it is worth the effort. Are you inspired to try it?

Happy creating!
