July 4th

There will be no red, white, and blue around here today because

it's all about homemade (by the MITM) Lemon Cheesecake topped with Lemon Curd.

Let us hope this July 4th isn't the last one we celebrate.

  2. I hope You enjoy the day.
And the cake. It looks very promising, I am sure it tastes very fine.

(Mixing Rosinen into the cheese may be a capital offence ? I'm just asking ... no worries !)

    1. It was a day, sweetpea! We cleaned up the garage and shed! LOL (I had to look up Rosinen, found the translation and still didn't know what you meant! Unless you meant to write rosine which translates to raisin, if you did then no, raisins would never, ever go in a cheesecake that we made!) xoxo

    2. I thought so, no raisins. To honour your cheesecake I had today excellent cheesecake ice. Sadly I could not combine it with Schlumpf. They run out of storage and have to collect them again in the woods.

  3. If I weren't 3000 miles away, I'd have invited myself over.

  5. I thought the same thing...could this be the last???? The one political party we have seems to forget exactly why this country was founded. Hope your day was a good one.

    1. It is a scary thought, sweetpea! But as a Dutch friend said yesterday, "Wasn't getting rid of a king the reason you had a revolution?" Hope yours was fantastic, darlin! xoxo

    1. It was! It was also the reason we HAD to do physical labor yesterday to work off the calories!! Today, I'm staying inside and enjoying the AC! Hope the weather doesn't hit you hard today, sweetpea! xoxo

  7. The 4th of July will happen as long as the calendar doesn't change but why it's celebrated or not celebrated might change. I hope not.
Honestly, I think people should look at the downfall/crisis of Venezuela.
