Lots of fun

Well, I was away for the weekend. A scrapbooking retreat with my sister, Tiffany, and friends, Krista and Shelley. We stayed and scrapped at Krista's house. Lots of fun, lots of food, lots of projects.

I will post more on that later.

Today I get to share some projects with you that I made before my trip. Last week was my birthday. I used some birthday pics for this Sketch Support layout:
The layout was featured yesterday on Nikki Sivil's blog HERE. BTW, totally sad about the news that Sketch Support is taking a break for an undetermined amount of time. Love Allison's sketches!

Today and tomorrow on Nikki's blog, projects are featured for a cross-promotion with Nikki Sivil's collections and Basically Bare products. Here are my creations:
I covered a Basically Bare chipboard heart for the Hello card. It added some nice dimension.

The bird shape is a Basically Bare clear acrylic shape. I traced it on the blue paper, then backed the shape with the paper. I added the BB felt wing shape to the top. The sentiment is an SRM sticker.

Be sure to visit Nikki's Blog today and tomorrow--they are giving away some great prizes.

Check back tomorrow for some of my weekend projects :)

Hope you had a great weekend--I'd love to hear about it.

Nikki Sivils/Sketch Support FRIDAY

I'm so glad it's Friday. This week has just been one BUSY week. I'm looking forward to Sunday, because it's Mother's Day. I will be spoiled. :)  DH and the kids will do fun things for me. DH will cook amazing food. And I can just sit back and feel pampered. Aaaahhh.

Church will be full of goodness--Miranda is giving her first talk, Merek is saying a prayer, and Krish has to share a scripture. Plus, the youth and children are all singing a special musical piece that I know will be heart-warming. Can't wait!

But that's Sunday . . . today is Friday. And it's May. So that means another Nikki Sivils/Sketch Support project to share with you. Hooray! This week's sketch is a two-page layout:

I used the Noah collection for my layout with these photos of Merek taken during Spring Break.

You should play along. Check out the Sketch Support blog HERE and the Nikki Sivils blog HERE. There are a ton of takes on the sketch, plus chances to win goodies.

After a week full of 12 softball and baseball games, I am ready for a relaxing weekend!

Hope you all have a wonderful Mother's Day. Enjoy :)

Nikki Sivils and Sketch Support

Happy Cinco de Mayo! And Happy National Scrapbooking Day! Any fun plans for today?
I sure wish I could have an enchilada and scrapbook. . . but on to other things . . .

TODAY on Nikki's Blog there is a BIG giveaway for National Scrapbooking Day. Leave a comment there because you have a couple of chances to win some fun NS products.

Yesterday on Nikki's Blog cards were featured from the DT using this sketch from Sketch Support.

This is my take on the sketch. I used Nikki's Messages collection:
Those little burlap buttons are such a fun way to finish off projects :)
Be sure to visit the Sketch Support blog to see more fabulous takes on the sketch AND leave a comment there by Monday for a chance to win one of Nikki's collections.

I enjoy working with sketches. Do you? What are some of your favorite sites?

Have a great Saturday!
