2018 DIY Planner

Hi Everyone! Today I am sharing with you my planner for 2018. It is featured on the SRM blog HERE today. I LOVE having a planner! Over the past few years I've tried several different ones--but never really found one that I could use efficiently or that matched my needs. So . . . this year I decided to make my own :)

(Front Cover)

I wanted one that was light and compact; a planner that wouldn't end up half-unused. After searching around for blank journals, I found one that I preferred with dot pages. This makes it easy for me to line things up, but not feel like I have to fill up every line.

The look of colorful, decorated planners is BEAUTIFUL--but it doesn't work for my style of what I need a functioning planner to be. Using SRM stickers and stamps is perfect for designing my own planner because of their classic style and clear backing. It would be easy to add color to any of these pages if I wanted to.

(Year at a glance)

I tried to incorporate my favorite layouts from other planners, as well as ideas of my own. I need the year at a glance and planning ahead pages for the upcoming months. Because I am only making one month at a time (so I don't have wasted pages in between months), the layout with upcoming events is really important for my planning.

As you can see I used a ton of SRM stickers to set up these pages and they turned out better than I had imagined!

For the monthly layouts, I am using the new planner season stamps. For the February layout, I used both the Winter Plans and Spring Plans sets, as well as the Notes to Self Planner stamps for the days of the week.

I love having these pages tailored to my needs and style. Happy planning! :)

June Planner Pages

How is it June already? School ending is bittersweet--happy to have the summer break but sad because Miranda is graduating! I am not ready for her to leave home :(

I gathered some SRM supplies together to work on my June planner pages. They are featured on the SRM blog TODAY. This project was great to complete on-the-go while waiting for my son at baseball practice.

I love being able to mix and match the stickers and stamps!

Now that the pages are done, I am ready to head into June . . . well, maybe not quite. :)

March Planner Pages

Spring is in the air and it is time for some March Planner pages!
I started off with some of SRM sticker sheets, LePens, and mint jute.

SRM stickers add such great color to my planner pages. I appreciate how easy it is to coordinate stickers from different sheets and themes.
The Planner sticker sheet has great icons to use to indicate important things to remember--from doctor appointments to Daylight Savings to meeting with friends.
 Here's to a fun-filled March!

You can see lots of other amazing projects HERE on the SRM blog.

January Planner pages

Happy New Year! I am looking forward to 2017 and hope you are as well.

I have a post up on the SRM Blog today. Here is a peek . . .

My planner definitely helps keep me on track for a more successful year. Usually I only add color to my weekly pages because, well, this is what my monthly pages end up looking like . . .
The days are packed . . . but . . . Blah.

It's a start. You can see the whole post HERE. Have a great day! :)

September Planner page

Hello! Today on the SRM Blog one of my September planner weeks is featured.

I used a couple of the SRM Planner Stamp sets, as well as Tiny Sports Ball stickers (those come in very handy on my pages).
The LePen Fine Point Bright set gives me the option to keep track of my kids' events, color-coding for each one.
And to top off the page, I used the border stamp from Planner Notes to Self.

I put the School Days Planner stamp set to work again on this set of First Day of School cards for my elementary kids' teachers. I tucked a gift card into each one as a way to help them get through that first day :)

The clear stamps are great for layering different stamps. I stamped the smiley face list first on white cardstock. Then put the word stamps (word down) on each line. Then I placed my block on top of the words to keep them in those places. That way I could stamp the words on each of the three images in the same places!
I finished off the cards with the LePen Bright set and some Orchid twine. I also added a border around the edges with the Sticker Stitches stamp set.

Enjoy your day!

August Planner Pages

Hello!
Happy to be here today to share some of the fun SRM products
I used on my first August planner pages.

My planner pages have been boring and just full of pencil writings. But now . . . whoo hoo! I get to add beautiful color and images. Love it!

You can check out more details on the SRM Blog HERE.

Enjoy your weekend!
