Merry Christmas Nails

Christmas nails number 6.  I wore these Christmas day and am still sporting these now!  I used Sally Hansen Pat on the Black and an LA Girl Gold.  I added some water decals from AliExpress and voila.

19 October 5/7 - Party Animal Bling

Well I am still remembering to photo my lacquer with each new manicure.  Here it is dark vampy burgundy with a hint of glitter in it already, but I bling up the manicure with more glitter on the ring accent nail.  Simple but effective.
Items used:

LA Girl - Party Animal - Base colour

30 September 7/7 - Expressing Myself!

By now my ring and middle nails are in an awful state on both hands.  One starts getting better and another starts peeling, sort that out and oh no another nail breaks.  Ugghhh, I really don't know what is happening, I am really sad.  So, when when my nails make me sad or I feel sad, I like to wear dark vampy colours.  This is from the Texas collection and boy it made me feel better.  Sorry for bad photos and ooh dear bad cuticles still.
Items used:
OPI - Don't Get In The Expresso Lane - Dark Vampy brown

14 September 3/7 - Dark Fatal Affair!

3rd of my September '12 nails.  This colour was very fitting, you may/may not notice this is my right hand in the photos!  My left was not doing so well, well my nails anyway.  As I said in my previous post my nails starting taking a battering and I had to cut and file them back drastically!

GOSH - Purple Heart

 26 MARCH 2011
I have worn this before, way back in October 2010, but felt it needed an outing again.  What can I say, not much, I like it.

LA Girl - Matte Blue Twilight

Mid week I changed my manicure from the Valentines to this one.  I love blue and had this in my un-worn box since last year!  Over my Nail envy this is two coats of LA Girl Matte Blue Twilight.  I only left is Matte on my ring finger and put a shiny coat of OPI top coat on the others.
In this last photo however I thought I would jazz it up just a tad.  I used Deep Blue Ocean by Sinful Colors.  This is in a jelly base which is blue with multitone blue glitter/flakes in it.

Oh My Poor Nails!

As you may have read, my nails have not been well!  They have been peeling and splitting.  I have been taping them up with silicone wraps but a few days later I have to re-do them.  I got totally fed up yesterday and took to the nail clippers and ........  Yep, I cut them back.  They are just so short now, I hate it.

But to cheer myself up I put on a dark shade.  I bought this from Superdrug a few months back and this is it's first wearing.  It is a brand called FAMOUS by Sue Moxley.  This is a suede effect shade (labeled suedefx on the bottle).  Unfortunately it does not have a name only a number, and this is No. 25, a gorgeous deep purple with lots of silver shimmer running through it.

There is a little tipware, but this is after a busy day cooking at school baking dinosaur cookies with our class! So lots of clearing/cleaning up after!.

Anyway I like it, do you?
IRL colour is just a tad darker

Victoria - ASOS Paints by Ciate

Sorry for not being on for a while.  Busy with work and kids etc....

But I would like to share a manicure I had on about two weeks ago.  After having to cut down my nails, I wanted to cheer up and put on my dark colours again.  So I opted for another never worn colour, Victoria by ASOS Paints.  This was a lovely dark plum/vampy shade, opaque in two coats and application was ok.  Sorry for messy cuticles.
Colour was lovely, but my nails seems to be in a bad shape at the moment.  They are splitting and peeling.  I know it is my fault, I have been very lazy in not applying cuticle oil over the past few weeks.  Having the central heating on all the time is not helping, but I am not going to freeze.

2011 - My First Manicure of the Year

My New Year Eve Manicure lasted a very long time.  I was surprised that the jewels did not drop off, what with back to work and lots of washing dishes!! But enough was enough and I changed my manicure last night.
I have gone for this gorgeous, dark, seductive colour by Nails Inc - Crown Court.  It is lovely deep plum shade with a slight red shimmer running through it.  Lovely this time of year, or any other time really

Taken indoors with flash, you can see the slight shimmer
Taken outdoors, natural, oh dear excuse the dry skin, need to moisturise!

China Glaze - Evening Seduction

NOTD today is this gorgeous, dark Evening Seduction by China Glaze. It is a lovely dark maroon/plummy colour. It was a little streaky on the first coat (but that may just be my application). The second coat I put on a little thicker and this evened out the colour. Top coat of OPI and viola, dark seductive nails.

OPI - Vampire State Building & Nail Growth

I am going to try to catch up with manicures worn this past month. You will find two posts per day so that I can catch up!

This first manicure was worn way back on 10th September....

"I decided to wear an "oldie" today. I have not worn this colour in ages and wanted a dark colour and chose this one. I have had it several years and it is still in very good condition, but you can tell that the OPI formula has changed. This was three coats and I still had bald patches. I may have been too impatient applying but I couldn't be bothered to put on another coat and had to be happy with it as is. None the less, I still like this colour. And look at how much my nails have grown in just a month. Yaaayyy! :o)"

Avon Change Artist Colour

NOTW on 18 April 2010.

This manicure was done using Avon Change Artist Colour.

I used the Shimmering Red/Clear polishes from Avon. The purpose of this duo is that you put on the main nail colour (in this case the red) and then you paint over a pattern like a nail tip, diagonal stripe etc. with the clear polish. This is then supposed to change the colour.

It is not very noticeable at all???

Can you tell?

It is a nice enough colour, it was quite easy to apply and the colour has real depth to it. I am sure I have OPI's and Zoya polishes that are quite similar though. Sorry about the lack of clean up, I am getting better at it now before taking photos.

China Glaze - NOTD on 2 April 2010

This was NOTW on 2nd April.

I love my dark colours, normally blacks or near blacks. But this is just as lovely.

It is a CG polish and I can't remember which one????

It is either Stella or Let's Groove?? Probably the latter! I will have to swacth these again, duh.

Anyway it is a gorgeous colour, went on really well in just two coats.

Love it.
