Chico Does Mordheim: Pt.11 Ruined Buildings No.2 & 3 finished

So Mordheim scenery is coming together quite well given the limited kits I could/can afford (Which since then have hunted down a few other options to expand though) being as you know on a tight budget.

Anyway Ruins 2 and 3 are now finished and they were made from Warlord Games Ruined Farmhouse, Balsa Wood and a host of bits from my Bitz Box.

Chico Does Mordheim: Pt.10 Ruined Buildings No.2 & 3 WIP

So I had the builders round..

No wait it was just me fecking around with more of the Warlord plastic ruined building kits.

Chicoheim™ is growing.

Chico Does Mordheim: Pt.9 Ruined Building No.1

So along with sorting out my Hobgoblins for the Tale of 4 Oldhammers I've still been busy building Chicoheim™. After deciding on using on the Warlord Games ruins it's all coming together rather quickly, plus I have to say I'm rather impressed with the outcome.

Chico Does Mordheim: Pt.8 - Treasure Tokens/Scatter Terrain WIP

It's a long holiday weekend here in rainy England, so what that means to me in fact is no post until Tuesday.. Bollocks!

So with no new toys to distract me I was able to get cracking on a few more mundane bits for Chicoheim™, namely some Scatter Terrain/Treasure Tokens.

No sleep till Chicoheim!

See I look at peoples Blogs and Forum/FB posts when they show such skill when it comes to building scenery and gaming tables from scratch and I think I could do that,

So!

I'm going to build Chicoheim™ from scratch!

I then cry alittle (Ok alot) when I come to realise..

Nope I  really can't!

Bugger!

So It's a fact then I'll never have the skill to make some and I'm far too cheap and budget restrained to but the super dooper kits out there.

So what's my real options?

Necromunda: Pit Slaves Pt.4

The Pit Slaves have not been forgotten  and work continues on the ever growing gang, i just can't stop adding figures from the lead pile. While it's nice to get the leadpile smaller I should be finishing other projects first heh.

Full gang so far, 3 left to finish.

Necromunda: Pit Slaves Pt.3

Necromunda is full blown go at Castle Chico with terrain and gangs being painted/prepped/glued and chopped. Looking like I'll have a full Necromunda table done within months at this rate.

Anyway while I'm waiting for a supply drop to continue the terrain prep I got a few more Pit Slaves converted and painted.

Rogue Trader 15mm: Ruined Buildings

The first of my 15mm scenery has been painted, I picked this up in a trade so no idea who made them but they are a tad out of scale as it sized for truescale 15mm (Most of my 15mm size up close to 18mm) but still seems to work quite well.

Combat Zone: Scavengers, Rus-Co & Scatter Terrain

So last few days I have been busy painting as normal, trying to get everything painted in time for a game on Wednesday which I'm providing both sides for (Scavs and Rus-Co).

I'm also trying to get my own Terrain finished (Some case even started), I'm still umming and errring about my home made stuff, part of me wants to just leave it and move on to the bought stuff.

Wargaming Scenery on a Budget

Now yesterday I posted up the second part of my Scenery on £4 series of posts ( Part 1 & Part 2). Now they aren't great but do the job they were made for.. to game with without breakages or any worries.

Now I haven't just been working on the cheap end and have started on some mid-range pieces (Still haven't spent more then £20 on the following though).

Now these haven't been built by me but rather bought.. from a well known store, Yep Pets at Home heh.

Chico does Wargaming Scenery for £4: Part 2

This is the second part of fecking around and making a mess with paint/sand/glue/random shit and you can see Part 1 HERE (Go read it now I'll wait).

I will state this now, for anyone who likes stunning looking scenery this post isn't for you, this is dirty and cheap which is made to bash around no skill is required though so anyone can have a go if they so choose.

3 bits out of 10 have been finished, bloody hell is it hard work.. Even to the rough basic standard it takes time and so much effort (Just as well my Wife has bought me some Mantic Scenery for my Birthday).

Just when I thought I was done...

Yep in the last post I said I was done with Epic Scenery, well I was wrong.

Turns out my Daemonscape turn up the next days and the goodies within were cracked out the bubblewrap rather quickly.

I made a start on getting them prepped and half the bits of the final order is finished to go along with everything else already painted.

Epic Scenery Done!

Well ok.... maybe not, I still have an order from Daemonscape yet to arrive containing ruins/rubble, more Orky shacks and a couple of large Warehouses. But I'm not sure if they will even get here before BOYL let along painted in time for my Epic games (I'm both running a few on the Saturday and playing in a large one on the Sunday)

Quite happy with how they turned out and I'm glad I based them on plastic sheeting for ease of use even if it was annoying and I ended up getting sand everywhere (Including on the Cat)

My Ork settlement, I will add to it (In fact that's the order I'm waiting for) a fecking bugger to paint as it's all fiddly bits and odds and sods.

Epic: More Buildings

So as the grind to get everything done for BOYL14 continues, I've made some more progress on my Epic scenery. To help make painting the buildings alittle more interesting I've been adding little details (Ork Trak chasing a SM bike, a Orka-Cola Truck)

Cold refreshing Orka-Cola? No Orksi fans here!

Epic Orks: Kult of Speed

Just a small update, these ladz were the last thing I painted before my eyes went wonky. Rather pleased with how they turned out.
