MESBG - Here Be Dragons

 

Hello my fellow denizens of desire, today I bring forth one of my favorite armies that I spent a fair chunk of time getting ready.

Dragons of the North for MESBG.

Bronze Dragon

So I put together these little beastys last year for an MESBG Event last year as I was feeling lazy and just wanted something easy.

Ended up not doing so well with 1/2/1 record.

White Dragon

The theme for the forces is based on what's below Moria aka the Nameless Things, though the really odd ''Cave Drakes'' I converted up didn't end making the list this time.

Anyhoo now that insane heatwave is over with here in the UK I can maybe get back to some WhFB/Old World painting again.

Northern Wastes Dwarfs of Chaos

 

Sadly no new painting has been done this week, it's been fecking hot down London way and I've spent most the time in my undies identifying as a puddle.

But the good thing is because I havn't posted on this Blog much that I have a host of older projects I've not shown before.

And today's offerings are my old Chaos Dwarf force.

The Northern Wastes Dwarfs of Chaos:

It includes at least 11 different miniature companies Chaos Dwarfs for a real chaotic looking force.

Though like most of my stuff has been sold off, still can't complain.. well I can not that it would matter.

I've removed all the dead links, shit posts and blurry pictures and I'm making an effort to have better content then my 1st run.

No idea what's coming next, maybe an undercover exposure of the ilegal smuggling of Oldhammer miniatures into the wildlands of Essex by a well known duo,.. maybe.

Punga Miniatures - River/Marsh Trolls

 

These are the 2nd lot of 3 of these I have painted, sadly I ended up selling the 1st set of 3 on Ebay a couple of years ago.

These are designed as Blood Bowl minis but I feel fits well into the WhFB world.

I was playing around trying out base styles but I', not a fan of these so no doubt will end up changing them to my Badlands style bases (See my Orcs) or try something differnt.

Right that's another post done and I'm not sure whats next, I am currently painting up some more Avatars of War Orcs including a naked Female Savage Orc Shaman and a Stone Troll Unit Filler (He's reading the Rulebook while Snotings with chainsaws run about, He's checking if Snotling with chainsaws are allowed in the rules),

Burrows & Badgers - Crew of the Unsinkable II

 

The 2nd of my Warbands, so far yet to play a game so currently don't have many painted.

While you don't need to theme your Warbands I really like  when people do, so for these they are a real motley crew of Pirates and furry feckers.

Sad fact is that I haven't managed a single game of anything this year, real life has got real messy as those that have me on Bookface well know,

I really need to pull my finger out and start gaming again.

Burrows & Badgers - Witch Hunter Warband + Town Guard Renforcements

 

So it seems over the last few years I've really started to get into some weird shit, not like that weird shit people like Oggy from RoC80's mind..

But one of the games I enjoy is Animal on Animal violence.. likes Furries gone wild but with  double handed weapons rather then doubled ended dildos..

Let slip the Hogs of War Pt.1

 Now there isn't much I like more than a bit of bacon and we all know a bit of WhFB violence is a wee bit good too.. so how about mashing the two together.

So I bring forth an army I have been working on for a couple of years:

The Hogs of War:

This is a unit of Khorne worshiping Minobors, they worship him in his aspect of a great Black Pudding or blood sausage to those outside of the UK.

Fun fact the pig skin is painted with the actual 80's Citadel Titillating pink paint, that famously toxic paint.

The models are Max Mini accept my army leader the DoomBor, called MasterPorka.

DragonRune Miniatures - Badlands Ogres

 

The 1st batch of Badlands Ogres done for my Greenskin army, as with the the rest they are painted quickly with the goal to getting the army playable.

4 more left to do including the command section, but I may take a break and work on something else for the army.

Avatars of War - Orc Warlord and BSB (Conversion)

 

Quick post showing off my latest Orcs done, both are from AoW and are cast resin.

Very much in the style of my other Orcs. The BSB is converted from the Orc Pitfighter using parts I had laying around (Hey this is me after all, Mr Budget after all).

Still far too much left to finish from the stash, plus I still need to hunt down some more DragonRune bits, so if you have any in the stash for sale then let me know.

DragonRune Miniatures - Greenskin Army Project

 

Hello old lead lickers, this is going to be a bit of a photo dump of my current project, it's more just place to keep all my current photos but you never know you many enjoy having a look at what I'm upto, 

Anyhoo, here's bit of a blurb of who or what DragonRune is (From the Lostminiwiki)

DragonRune was a manufacturer based in Barcelona, Spain. The company was founded by Felix Paniagua around 2000. The original company closed down in early 2003 and was purchased by the US based company The Tin Dictator (April 2003). The range would continue to expand under the new ownership. 

In 2008, The Tin Dictator ceased retail operations and the DragonRune range was sold to Armorcast. Sculptors: Felix Paniagua (Orcs and Ogres), Raúl Valiente (Goblins), Sylvain Quirion (Komodons).

This is my progress so far, you may have noticed that it's not all pure DragonRune and that it includes Avatars of War & Citadel parts, that's because this AoW is owned by Felix who was the owner of DragonRune so the Greenskins match well and the citadel parts are just to add some interesting touches and conversions.

ME:SBG - Dunlendings Legendry Legion 500pts Army

 

Dunlendings, also known as the Wildmen of Dunland, were the people of the plains of Dunland. They were known as a fierce culture of Men, and sought vengeance on the people of Rohan who had driven them into the mountains. During the War of the Ring, the wizard Saruman used their anger to manipulate and convince them to pillage the land of Rohan.

Bolt Action Italian RSI Paracadutisti test force.

 

Evening toy lovers, now bit a odd one this but as you know I love a bit of Bolt Action and its my game of choice for a random Club pick up games.

Now my good friend asked me if I could make an Italian force (Mid or Late) top tier (Meaning take on all comers and have a good chance to do well no matter the opponent or mission).

Now theory crafting isn't my cup of tea but I said sure why not.

Howdy boys and girls, how are we all doing on this bloody hot and sweaty bumcrack morning?

So yesterday I had the chance to play an old favourite in the form of BA.

Looking though my forces I grabbed my Italian RSI force a few days before to check what I had and I noticed I still had some grey primed chaps I haven't painted Shock horror!

I though I had finished these chaps.. opps so on too the painting table went 7 various Paras including a MMG and some LMG's (Not that I need anymore but the Warlord sets give you 2 to a squad when the rules only allow 1) plus another truck from Paint and Glue Miniatures.

Nothing like a game to motivate you eh?

Bolt Action: Italian Paracadutisti

Just a quick photo dump post from one of the projects I've completed and never took any pictures of for the wee bloggy.

This time it's another BA force (Yes, I know It's a habit).

Anyone who wants to do a Italian Para force then good luck as the camo is a real ball ache so I'm glad they are finished (For the time being).

Bit of a bonus Bloggy post today as I've stumbled across my old Foundry Orc Warband while having a tidy up this morning.

Sadly they haven't been used in anger in many a moon which is a real shame as I quite like the ladz. 

The Realm of Middle Earth - Pt.3: Dunlendings

So there we are boys and girls a 3rd post in the series and a interesting project as well. the vagabonds know as Dunlendings or Wildmen pf Dunland if you prefer.

These were painted as a test for the new GW Contrast paints so not in my normal style (Which really does show). Still at least the first batch of these are off my bloody Pile of Shame.
