Bear World

On our drive to Yellowstone we stopped off at Bear World in Rexburg, Idaho. I think this was the hit of our vacation. Not only did we drive around and see bears really close up but there was a petting zoo and free carnival rides. Oh and the shaved ice was really good on a hot day.

Sophie: I liked the bears at Bear World. They wandered around the cars. Some bears were napping. I liked the baby bears, they were cute.

Sophie was afraid to touch the animals with her hands but she would with a feather.

Vacation, part 1

A couple of weeks ago we went to Utah to visit family. We didn't stay in Utah long before we headed on a road trip to Yellowstone National Park and Idaho Falls and Rigby, Idaho for some family history. It was a fun time but very busy.
We arrived early on a Sunday after a not so fun plane trip, let's just say Sophie was a bit of a bear on the flight and Elanor and Sophie floated between Andrew and I. We were lucky enough to get an empty seat in one of our rows which helped somewhat. Let's just say I am really grateful it was a direct flight.
I was happy to see Sarah right away, she came with my parents to the airport. And the girls were excited to see grandma, grandpa and Aunt Sayah (as Elanor calls her). When we were arrived at my parents house we were met by Beckie and my grandma, unfortunately my grandpa was in the hospital in Beaver and we were not able to see him.

Elanor found Aunt Beckie watering one day and so she had to join in the fun. I thought the whole sequence was fun so enjoy the slide show.

We were also able to visit some college friends and Andrew's cousins.

Time went too quick and we had to prepare for our 6 days of being away so we are sorry to other Utah friends and family we were not able to see. So stay tuned and the next post will be written by Sophie and me cause she wants to share her favorite parts of the vacation.
