Bright

Good morning and a very happy
Today over at the Digi Choosday blog the team were challenged to make something nice and bright. I decided to carry on with my Christmas tags and make a nice bright one for one of the young ones in my life. And here it is:
I've used one of my fave collections of the last year, the ever so cute Winnie Winterland. In fact I've used some scraps of paper that most would throw away and created one of my fave patchwork tags. They do take a while to make but I love them so don't mind spending the time on them. Also they go to someone special so even more of a reason to spend time on them.
The colours in this collection are so bright and vivid I immediately thought of this when I saw the challenge. I added the bright white pen for the faux stitching too. The image and embellies are printed onto glossy photo paper as well which makes them even more vivid.
So don't forget to go grab today's discount code from the blog, and check out what the rest of the team have been up to.
See you soon.

Christmas again

Good morning and a very happy
Today over at the Digi Choosday blog the challenge for the team was to make something for Christmas that isn't a card, well of course I made a tag, and here it is.
I've used the gorgeous Winnie White Christmas download collection to make this. I've fussy cut lots and lots of embellies and tried all different positions on the tag until I was happy with it and then added 3D foam to stick them down. I've finished it off with some red bakers twine.

Christmas

Good morning everyone. I'm here today with a make from our new challenge over at Polkadoodles. The challenge for team is to make something for Christmas that isn't a card. The challenge for you as always is anything goes.
So here is my make.
Of course you knew it, I made a tag. I LOVE my tags as I think adding a handmade tag to a gift makes it more special. So I have used the Winnie White Christmas collection to make this. I've cut 2 layered tag and painted the back one with a gold Kuretake Gansai Tambi watercolour paint, and then used the same paints in yellow, red and green on the top tag. I've then fussy cut some embellies from the collection and mounted them onto 3D foam to make them pop. I've finished it off with some red bakers twine.

Christmas

Good morning and a very Happy
This week at the Digi Choosday blog the team have been challenge to make something else for Christmas. And as I love my tags when making my one for last week I decided to make another one for this weeks make, so here it is.

Once again I used the Octavia Frosted Winter collection. I love the colours in this collection as that's what colour Christmas is in out house. My tree and decorations are all in these lovely blues and purples with some pink in there as well.
I used 4 different papers cut into squares, the edges distressed with ink and faux stitching added around the edges with a white pen. They are then matted onto a tag die, which I have cut using the Stamps By Me Loving Wishes Tag die set. All the embellies are then fussy cut and mounted on using 3D foam to make them pop. The sentiment is from Christmas Tree Script stamp set from Polkadoodles.

Tag!

Good morning and a very happy
This week over at the Digi Choosday blog the team are challenged to make a tag, well of course everyone knows how much I love tags so here's my make.

To make this I've used the Octavia Frosted Winter collection. I used 4 different papers cut into squares, the edges distressed with ink and faux stitching added around the edges with a white pen. They are then matted onto a tag die, which I have cut using the Stamps By Me Loving Wishes Tag die set. This is then mounted onto the larger of the tags from the set using 3D foam to make it pop.
I have then fussy cut at the embellies and the fabulous unicorn and added some glimmer using a Wink Of Stella pen on the main of the Unicorn. I've added some stamens into the flowers and a few gems on the corner and there you have it. I wonder who's gift this will end up on at Christmas? Maybe I'll give it to hubby to use on mine so I can keep it lol

Baked With Love

Good morning and a very happy
This week over at the Digi Choosday blog the team are still getting ready for Christmas. Why not come and join in with our challenge to prepare yourself. If you don't want to do anything along the Christmas theme, you can do anything you want as the theme for you is always anything goes.
So here is my make for this week.
To make this I've used the ever so cute Baked With Love download collection. You can also buy this on CD if you wish.
This is a white card blank with 4 of collections papers cut into small square and glued in place on a layer of white card slightly smaller than the card blank. I've then added some faux stitching around the papers so it looks like patchwork. I've then mounted that layer onto 3D foam and stuck it to the card blank to give it dimension. I've then cut a tag in white card using a Stamps By Me tag die set. I've then cut the 2nd layer of the tag 4 times in the different papers and again made them look like patchwork. I then fussy cut some embellies and the baking Gingerbread Lady and mounted them all on 3D foam and glued in place. And there you have it.
Here is a close up for you.

Christmas in July

Good morning everyone, I'm here today with another Christmas make, I'm really getting in front with these, I hope you are too! This time it's for the new challenge over at the Polkadoodles blog.

I've used Winnie Winterland Collection to make this tag. The tag shape is just one that I cut myself, so no die needed to do this. I then cut the paper to small squares and trimmed the top 2 to match the edge. They were then inked and faux stitching added before gluing onto the base tag. I then used a flower from the collection printed in 3 different sizes and layered up with some stamens added. Behind the flower I used some die cuts using the same papers and the foliage die from the Polkadoodles Bird house die set.
Here is a close up of the tag for you.

Now pop over to the blog to get some more Christmas Inspiration from my teamies.
I'm entering this into the following challenges:
Cardz 4 Galz - Christmas
C.R.A.F.T - Christmas
Crafting With An Attitude - ATG
Star Stampz - Christmas

Not a card.

Good morning everyone, I'm here today with a new challenge from the Polkadoodles blog. The challenge for you as always is Anything Goes but for the team this time we were challenged to not make a card. So of course I made a tag to add to my Christmas gifts to people and here is it.

I have used the stunning Winnie Winterland collection to make this tag. I've done some paper patchwork and inked the edges with a distress ink before gluing them in place. I then used a black pen to add some faux stitching. I then cut out all my embellies and sentiments and again inked to edges of them all before sticking the in place with 3D foam pads.
